And I'm not trying to show off. But for about 6 months now, I notice that on certain days I just don't eat anything. For example, yesterday I had a cup of coffee in the morning and glass of milk at night(some water during the day) and I was able to stay energetic. My friend always tells me its fucking weird and I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it.

Today I had a cup of coffee in the morning and I had some carrot juice earlier. I haven't eaten in 15 hours and I don't have an appetite at all, even though I went to gym.

Should I be concerned?

Edit: I'll be on later tonight to check for replies =]

I would have said no, but then I read that you went to the gym... My body seems to self-regulate, and I just seem to naturally eat less when I'm not working out, but this seems a bit extreme.

Perhaps you've evolved to photosynthesise instead.

I'd say no..I could do it too..but then I get so hungry I would overeat at my next meal..As long as your not tired or weak, then your fine in the short run, but if either of those happen I would be cautious.

This.
People can survive off the sun, dont you know.

As long as I get my caffeine fix for the day and if im active and doing things, I can go without eating.
Its when im sitting on the computer or being lazy that I actually feel hungry.

Im pretty sure its normal for some people.

You're probably fine, it's very common to lose appetite in the summertime (though I guess if it's been going on for 6 months that would have extended back into winter...). Actually people around the world find value in the occasional day-long fast to reset the body and give your insides a break. It's likely only a problem if you start feeling tired/sick/headache.

Break free of our western concept of 3 full meals a day! What's normal for you is normal for you (as long as you feel normal!)

What he said. Listen to your body, and eat if you're hungry.

You don't need food to survive, in life. For a period of time. Hunger is a state of the mind, nothing more - really. All we need it water. Unless you are a diabetic.

If it was we'd be overpopulated by superheroes and that just makes me feel unimportant again.

youre fine. i wouldnt worry. i sometimes can go days without eating, especially in the summer. the heat/sun takes my mind off it and i just never feel hungry. and i rarely get a weak/faint-like feeling, and i even go running everyday. i drink alot of green tea though, so the caffeine helps keep me energized. but yeah you should be fine.

I do get hungry while I'm lazy but not all the time....ie right now.

I wish I were you :(

Actually I haven't really lost any weight. If I do it's because I''m working out.

You definitely need food to survive.

I'd force myself to eat if I were you. Just because you're not hungry doesn't mean your body doesn't need what food provides

If you're not thirsty you should still be drinking, if you're not hungry you should still be eating

Going for a run, especially if it's something longer than 10km, AND on a hot day without eating at all for the day is a big no-no. You're just going to end up hurting yourself more than actually gaining from fasting.

Tea and lots of water will get me through the day. Asceticism is a time honored tradition.

When I was even poorer than I am now, I would eat a cup or two of rice a day and suffice. Take some vitamin tablets and you're strait.

This made me LOL. It might be the most ignorant comment ever.

Going a day without food is normal...going your whole life without food is stupid.

And my senses are just lying to me, I just think everything is there. Shouldn't relate surviving with philosophy, at best you'd survive 30 days with only water and by water I mean water, not tea/coffee/any other drink.

True.
well you can survive without food.
Just dont expect to do anything else other than lie around.
I wanna see some retard actually go to work 5 days a week, take care of their kids on water alone.
we'll see how that theory of living only by drinking water works.
