To Restore Sanity
To Keep Fear Alive

Personally, I'm inclined to celebrate the return of moderation.

If you're unaware of this event because you don't pay for basic cable, you shouldn't be, because it's available online for free. In brief, Jon Stewart has taken up the mantle of leadership in opposition to Glen Beck and his pack of sheeple. Stewart's journalistic credentials are unprecedented for his type of news show host. The week he announced this rally, he interviewed Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Tony Blair.

This is in my town, so I'm definitely going.

Anyone in the DC area in need of a ride can hit me up. If I can't fit you in my car, I can probably find you a ride.

Discuss.

I live in the Baltimore area, and this may be too much for me to pass up. Everyone (read: The Right) accuses Jon Stewart of being too liberally biased, and it's because of this that Stephen Colbert's character got a chance to take flight in his own show.

When someone makes sense, it's difficult to ignore them... and when someone consistently makes that much sense, it's difficult to not support their rally... especially when the rally itself makes that much sense.

I can't guarantee I'll be there, but rest assured that I will be trying my damnedest :p

I thought about going, but then I thought about all the hipsters and smelly college kids who watch the Daily Show and thought better of it. Then I also remembered that I have Halloween parties to go to on that day.

But I love the idea. I hope a gazillion people show up to the joint rally. I thought they way both Stewart and Colbert announced the rallies were hilarious- particularly Colbert's vampire Abe Lincoln and the FAIL head spin. :p

I think it's hilarious comedy central has just stumbled across this gem of a show. I don't think in their wildest dreams they thought that The Daily Show would become a heavy hitting political outpost. The people they have interviewed on the show is truly amazing. I won't be attending because I live all the way in Wisconsin. You guys should take some pics and post them :D

I would love to go, if I wasn't in Oklahoma :p

It seems like one of those events that will never be forgotten, and I wish I could be a part of it :(
