Are you using Abrosia? If so, it's pretty self-explanitory to increase your ABing speeds (although not necessarily advisable).

EDIT: Maybe I'm confusing 'buy speed' with 'refresh speed'? :S

Increasing your speed's half the battle !
And fast reaction idk, try using google chrome, it's faster on loading pages.

I've AB'ed with half those specs and it came out alright. Its pretty much all about your refresh and if it refreshes right when the item is restocked.

You should be timing your connection to California/New York for Neopets, there's always going to be a significant delay if you're not located in North America.

Mine's only like, 10 m/b without an ABer running.

    I'd say you're doing fine. :D.

I have my buy times down to less than 1000ms with a connection less than half as good as yours. (.1 delay for everything) These settings are extremely risky though and have gotten me iced in less than 15 minutes in magic (even though I didn't actually buy anything), and then one other time in about an hour while I was in stamps. (Nabbed a stamp worth only 30k)

What would you all say are average buy speeds for a decent legit RS'er?

I think 1700 if you're a pro, 2000+ is very good, 2500 is good, 2900 is about an average RS'er.

I think its more a problem of network latency than internet speeds if you are getting "high" buy times.

Yeah, must be just that high tech that AB'ing on the way to work is no problem.
