After lurking the last few days, I still haven't found a clear answer on what I am looking for.

Which account do I auto buy on? I understand that it's not safe to transfer items between account. Is it safe to use it on my main? Do I need a proxy?

I'm only concern because I have a number of NC items that I am pretty attached too, and my account is 9 years old.

Basically I'm only looking to use the ABer for a month - a few months. Enough to save for a draik and have a bit of a "safety net" leftover for training and such.

Thanks for the answers :)

there's always going to be a risk with ABing.
All you can do is try to lower that risk by having higher buy times, not ABing aggressively, manually RSing everynow and again, stuff like that.
It's up to you to decide whether or not it's worth losing your account over.

Easy answer, if you don't want to risk losing your account, then don't use programs.

I wouldn't recommend AB'ing if you have that much to lose xD

Hey, im just wondering, is it allowed to be AB'ing on my main and then actually playing on a side account? Or vice-versa.

Not simultaneously, unless using a proxy on one.

Thanks for the replies everyone :)

so if I'm really interested in using one, I would be best off creating a new account under a proxy and using it that way?

If you are looking to AB for a short period of time and be as low risk as possible, I would recommend the shops listed above. Chocolate, Bakery, Food are all relatively low risk. Use extremely conservative settings, and AB for a very low amount of time per day. If you "accidentally" restock a major UB (I cant think of any off the top of my head in those shops), put it in your SDB for a while and lay low. Other than that, use common sense. Don't post restocks on the message boards or here for that matter.

    Proxies are still trackable.

The safety of your account relies on a number of things.

Laser Wave for example has been ABing for years on the same account... He's not frozen. Why? Because instead of the get rich quick scheme everyone tries to go on by restocking in Morphing Potions, he sticks to safer shops like Chocolate, Bakery, Foodshop, Pharmacy etc (not a complete list). Now, he probably doesnt get too many UB items, but he will get alot more items in the long run. He's not the only person who uses this system. If you are going for MP's/UB's all the time... there's a sure fire way to draw attention and get yourself iced.

Places I've found to be safe:
Igloo (I have a neat Igloo AB of my own that has never gotten me iced, despite the way it seems to run)
    Food Shop
    Bakery
    Pharmacy
    Chocolate Shop
Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop

What about the people who have been IP banned, but only had the proxy banned like myself? or people who have been chain iced, for only the proxy that accessed accounts, not their real ip, again like me?

I understand what your saying but proxies have saved my ass on several occasions.

HA~ Proxies never saved my ass D: lmfao.

If you wanna AB efficiently id advise setting up times and what not so you dont get RS banned. This could hurt your overall profit if your giving yourself a month or two to AB.

You do realize you could get RSed banned in the first 10 minutes of ABing if you're not careful, so even if you set up specific times, you can still get hit and just have had wasted your effort.

Well I guess this is all determined how fast everything is from refresh to ocr.

Without trying to sound like an ass...

    Spoiler

Do you think you're the only one using the proxy? Unless its a private proxy, anybody could have done anything on their own accounts to cause your accounts to be iced if Neopets did an 'IP Freeze/Chain Ice' it could affect all accounts linked to the proxy not just your own.

And you dont understand what Im saying at all... My advice is to use a single (this means one only) account and not try to build up too quickly. Slow and steady wins the race and all that.

Kinda missed my point, you say proxies dont help, well if they didnt help then surley my main IP would be banned and not my proxy?

I know what i did to get chain iced, and i expected it partly, i took a risk, but on a proxy, to avoid my main being iced, and any other accounts i have.

So if I set the refresh time to what I would refresh at manually, stay in low risk shops and AB at times that I am normally online anyways, i'm fairly safe?

Sorry for all of the questions. I just want as much knowledge as possible before I decide to try this :)

Either way will involve a certain amount of risk. I would say doing it on just your main account is safer and more convenient because you do not have to transfer your loot (nps or items) to your main = added risk.

Just stay low instead of constantly be in the spotlight (grabbing all the high profit UBs i.e. Krawk MP), because TNT will naturally pay more attention to those items being bought (be it illegally or legal), instead of constantly doing checks on people who bought plasters, breads and colour neggs.

Didnt miss your point at all. I put it down to luck that your main didnt get iced as it very easily could have been. I've been chain-iced before too... yet still had some accounts stay safe (even though they share the same IP and all).

But your post has no relevance to this user. They are wanting to do it in a single account, not over multiple accounts. In my honest opinion, using proxies would be more detrimental to their account safety then it would even remotely be helpful.

I would say 100% correct yes. If you AB for 4 hours straight manually every day, and refresh roughly every 5-10 seconds then start up your AB for 4 hours and have it refreshing every 5-10 seconds. If you're using ABrosia, there is also the option for the Scheduler which will allow you to have it automatically turn on and off.

Dont be sorry for the questions... at least yours are well constructed instead of something like:

    Spoiler

Luck? thats kinda a rose - tinted veiw :S I have probably 50+ accounts who i proxy on, or use my own IP on and ive been frozen many times, and allways the only ones who get frozen are my proxied accounts?

I see where your coming from, some times, some people who dont use a proxy, still dont get chain iced or w/e, but then, some times they do? I can give you a usename and pass of an account that was frozen for "multi-ing". Where as when i multi under proxies (ALOT) i havnt been?

Who knows tbh, I doubt its clear cut anyway, but all im saying is that it has helped me, and many other people i know.

(and yeh, kinda not relevent to the OP but just wanted to chat to you regarding your oppinions again :) i know we differ)

Right, I understand that there will always be a risk, even if it is only a small risk.

By setting the settings to mimic myself as much as humanly possibly, I'm lowering the risks, correct?

I guess i'm slightly concern since im not much of a restocker. I don't have a problem waiting around in shops, refreshing and grabbing items. It's the fact that I don't know which items to get. I figure using an ABer will make my life so much easier.

You run the risk of being frozen whether you use an Autobuyer/Cheat program or not. There are a number of people who (are supposedly) legit and big on the Neoboards who get frozen for 'no reason'. I remember I first started cheating because I was frozen for cheating when I was playing legit.

Yes, setting the settings to mimic human behaviour (not necessarily yourself) you are indeed lowering the risk of getting frozen.

Thanks for the answers, I really do appreciate it :)

I finally downloaded the program tonight and i've gotten 4 restocks so far. Nothing big at all, but hey, a 5k profit is still a profit.

I'm curious. How do they even track all suspicious activity? I imagine a bunch of people sitting at their desk stalking our every move on neopets.

    I AB on my Main.

Yes the pet names are going to be lost forever if im found out. But hey! its just a load of pixels on a screen.

I only AB when im watching a film or something on my laptop to be honest.

I always make sure to go on my guild messages for a while before i ab and and again after. sometimes i even stop ab after 20 mins post some messages on my guild or a neoboard and then ab again. make it look like im more humanised ABing.

I don't ABing on your main. If you commit an obvious mistake on shell, you may not get frozen on your main.
You can get away ABing on your main, just remember that any derp moment could mean a freeze. And TNT is mean and likes to take some days/weeks before freezing (in order to link mor accounts that could belong to you and to deny you the opportunity to save anything)

But if you AB on sides, try to not get them linked, that doesn't mean that you need proxies (they help, but you can evade chain freezings if you are careful).
Not linking them means that it shouldn't look like they all belong to the same person.
Don't transfering items/np frequently is the key, but TNT also takes into account if they share IP (proxies help, but are not tht escential IMO), sharing computer, Operating system, etc.

Yeah, TNT has a weird frezing system. However, all the supposedly legit people that I've seen getting fozen (at least if they were botting they were really discret and not greedy) always ended getting their accounts back (after months, but they got them back).

I've been chain-iced before too... yet still had some accounts stay safe (even though they share the same IP and all).

    Ditto
IMO proxies are only worth if you are really going to AB on multiple accounts (lots of them)

There's always going to be a risk. There is no "safe" method, only less risky methods.

Like others have said, stick to low-end shops.

Make sure too to make the ABer take regular breaks.

But really... if you are that attached to your account you probably shouldn't be cheating in the first place...
