New Riddle #4

10 December 2006 - 01:49 PM

You have 27 coins, one is a little heavier then the others.
You have a balancing scale, so you can compare weight of two groups of coins.
You may weight 3 times to find out which coin is haevier than the others.
How can you do this?

Ok, I have 2 day's to come up with the answer. I must post my answer by tomorrow night!

Thank you for any help you may give me, as I am so bad at these.

Riddle

09 December 2006 - 10:23 PM

Here is a new riddle:

A man wants to go to Amsterdam, he comes to a point that he has to choose if he has to go to the left or to the right.
He doesn't know which road goes to Amsterdam.
At that point lives two brothers.
He knows one brother always lies and that the other will always tell the truth, but the man doesn't know which one is the liar.
He may ask one question to both brothers. (the same question to each) and then he will know which way he has to take.
Which question does he ask?

The question has to be about which way to go?

Can someone please help me with this one, I am stumped and figured someone in here would surely know!

Thank you and I hope this is Ok to be in this area to post it?
