About Me

oh hey i'm gwendolyn, though feel free to call me 'gwen', that's cool too
the internet has made me weary of Capital Letters
i like comics and art and music and human rights and stuff
i have clinical problems with depression and anxiety, which causes me to be a little awkward and reluctant to socialize with people.
um, shit. i don't know. i remember going on neopets when i was seven, so i've been on and off the site for twelve years i guess. god i'm old.
i'm kind of friendly to a fault, so if you want to get to know me better, just send me an email c:
(oh yeah. i'm agendered, meaning i don't really identify as being male, female, or androgyne. if you're curious about pronouns, just google 'spivak' or 'ne gender neutral pronoun' or something.)

whoops
i'm really into comics in print and on the web, though i prefer long form ones to gag-a-day types. i'm going to OCADU for illustration in the fall. art and design are a massive part of my life and my being, and i don' know what i would do with myself if i weren't able to draw or create.
music is also pretty cool. i'm an amateur guitar and ukulele player. i think that it would be really cool to play bass but i have the hands of a six year old so that's pretty infeasible. i listen to anything that catches my ear, tickles my brain, or makes me feel less ~alone~ (oops i'm an overdramatic teenager too).
oh yeah activism is cool too. i'm a ~feminist~, utterly pro-queer, and generally just into human rights in general. yay for not being an asshole.

Topics I've Started

Who's read Sweet Tooth by Jeff Lemire?

20 May 2011 - 06:18 PM

ugh i devoured this series in less than a day. i've been on a huge post-apocalyptic dystopia kick this month having read the chaos walking trilogy, the hunger games trilogy, 1984, and this series.
do you have a favourite character or characters? i'm rather partial to bobby and wendy myself c:
where do you think this whole thing is going?

whoops what's this

i'm gwen. i... don't really know what to say, i'm bad at this.
you all seem like a pretty fantastic lot, though. i guess i'll hang out here.
