@Kyle I used to sell botted accounts on PlayerUp during the first couple of weeks of play. I don't think people are buying like they used to, but it was fairly profitable back then.

Well, and it's incredibly easy to get neopoints now a days. Just log in everyday for a month and you get 100k or there-abouts.

On the supply side of things it might be that there are way too many NP in the economy from the duping.

Yup, all of the above really. On supply side, over supply due to duped high-end items, easy NPs from Ghoul Catchers and Trudy's Daily Surprise (up to 50k daily and up to 100k daily respectively, though the latter usually gives 2-20k daily). And also, JS no longer automatically checks for how long you run Abrosia / improbably low buytimes, so people get away with running ABers 24/7 on Magic/Stamps essentially.

On the demand side, low players and low player interest. Many of the legit players who actually have legit billion-dollar spending ability have left by this time, so not a lot of people can afford the old crazy prices for things (e.g. 1 billion dollar legit SuAP, pre-dupeday). And also less people are interested in filling up galleries and albums, and so on.

As a result, prices just keep getting lower as time goes by, and the rate for buying pure on the cheating scene keeps going down tooo.

None of the trading post sections were set as visible to them for some reason. They must have been able to a few days ago though because there's a post from a Retired member in there recently. Perhaps the forum upgrade did something, it's fixed now anyway.
