#1662339 Spanking and Other Forms of Punishment

Posted by RitzWin on 27 April 2013 - 10:13 AM

You can look for scientific studies on spanking.  I've never found one that ended up supporting spanking.

The case for supporting spanking has been closed for a while now.  It's only held afloat by people defending what their parents did.  Not unlike how religion stays afloat, not based on science or evidence, but bigotry.

I was not spanked, unlike 90% of children.  Hitting your child for 'correction' is just as immoral as hitting your wife for 'correction'.

Kinky spanking is cool though- although I would theorize that that sort of enjoyment comes from childhood, unsure if that's a dysfunction or not...

Annoying when they blame birth countries for some lunatic's actions

I think that advice is just so that you have a feel of how profitable that particular shop is vs another one.  It takes generally 2 weeks to get a feel for avg profit.

I have many leather-bound books.

What I would write to them " My browser automatically clears history/cache/cookies when I close my internet browser".

"You know suspiciously too much about browsers, and we hear you dislike Scientology, banned for suspicious activity"

#1654278 Legitimate investments based on market trends

I got influenced by that youtube documentary series: Wall Street Warriors.

Take a look at these graphs and let me know what you think.  I was thinking of making a bot that would sweep in and buy a bunch of one item, a few days before the upward trend in past years.  The ones that look like they'll increase in the very short term seems to be the clovers...

Anyone have any other ideas for items like these?

#1652728 So why do YOU cheat?

Posted by RitzWin on 04 March 2013 - 02:51 PM

There's nothing to justify with regard to using programs because they are actually victimless (despite what you said in your first post).

I would rephrase that, there are 'victims' but those are the players who are not smart enough, or unwilling to change to the way the game is played nowadays.  Adapt or die.

#1639453 FOOD CLUB - Win every time [DUTCH BOOK]

Posted by RitzWin on 21 November 2012 - 11:27 AM

Want to ALWAYS win at the food club? Don't care to do lots of math?
If so- This is the guide for you!

This is not a newbie guide about how to play the food club, or how to increase your winnings.

This is a guide to always win at the food club, every bet you place- you WILL win using this guide.

It's founded on the 'dutch book' idea- where you can always win if you place the right amount on each participant.

Just follow these steps, you can do this on multiple races (if there's more than 1 that has a positive %):

#1 Go to http://foodclub.daqtools.info/ , pick out an area that has a positive ratio, for this example, I'll choose this one (+32.7%):

#2a Go to http://www.betcalc.com/eqprofitcalc.php load up the current odds from the tool above into the individual odds column as shown in my example
#2b Change the overall stake (see the end of the guide for this part) for this example we're using an overall stake of 100
#2c click 'show stakes' in the forth row
#2d Hit 'calculate'

Posted Image

#3 Ignore all columns except the 'Individual stake' column, this is what we will bet.
In my example we'll bet:
13NP on Stuff-A-Roo
59NP on Scurvy Dan
16NP on Peg Leg
13NP on Orvin

#4 Proof that we will always win:
We've bet a total of 101NP

Look at the possible scenarios:
Stuff-A-Roo wins, we win (13 : ratio) x (bet of 13NP) = 169NP minus original 101 bet = +68NP.
Scurvy Dan wins, we win 2 x 59 = 118 NP minus original 101 bet = +17NP.
Peg Leg wins, we win 10 x 16 = 160 NP minus original 101 bet = +59 NP.
Orvin wins (same math as stuff a roo), = +68NP

In every outcome, you WIN.
As far as discussing the maths behind a dutch book, I'll let you guys discuss that.

Setting the 'overall stake' in part 2b:
Set the stake to something a little over the amount of NP you can bet, the amounts shown that you should bet will always be lower than that.
So in my example, if I could bet only 60 NP per bet on my new account, the overall stake of 100 makes sense, since the max I need to bet is 59NP on Scurvy.

Hope this all made sense, please leave feedback on any math or understanding problems.

#1600113 Graphics for my program?

Posted by RitzWin on 26 June 2012 - 09:52 PM

I figured my daily doer could use a bit more glamor and so I thought I'd throw this out there- if anyone has any ideas for sprucing it up with some cool pics or whatever that would be nice.

I'm not willing to pay for this- as I'm also not being paid for this free program ;)

http://www.neocodex....ins-daily-doer/

There's a screenshot in the link above that shows what it currently looks like.

I can probably do whatever with the program (even putting graphics inside the boxes with some cool transparency).

So lmk what you think u can do to help :)

#1577947 Altador Plot Autocompleter

Posted by RitzWin on 26 April 2012 - 11:34 AM

Sorry... I think it's likely you got logged out in the middle. Of course, the numbers could have just been really against you, but "hours" makes that unlikely.

no need to be sorry. Your autocompleter was VERY useful. As I said before, I had never done the plot before. So for a 'newbie' like me, it worked pretty damn well. (I wouldn't know what to manually do if the program couldn't pick up where it left off)
Great job :)

#1575437 Animal Rights

Posted by RitzWin on 19 April 2012 - 08:59 AM

I would submit that we need to learn how to treat humans with respect and kindness before we can dream of helping animals in a significant way.

Hell, many people support the slaughter of other human beings (wars). If we cannot have empathy for our own species, the other species don't have a hope.
