I have it, got it on day 1. Having a ball with it and have already put in 60 or so hours. There's so much to do and it's great if you have a Nintendo Online account so that you can visit or have people visit your island. Some QoL improvements such as a larger inventory, house storage (so that you aren't just leaving stuff on your floors) and even being able to customize your island later on in terms of the land and water.
