#1934481 Your thoughts on boudoir shoots.

Posted by ellemenno on 30 December 2015 - 10:30 AM

I vote a big yes for boudoir photos.  They're not just sexy - they're fun, too!

I think the important thing is that you have them taken for yourself.  (And then your significant other can reap the benefits via photo album, or however you choose to present them.  I would personally choose a huge, life-size photo hanging over the mantle...thankfully, I don't have a mantle.)

But honestly, regardless of other people's opinions about your age, or your body, or the morality of being tastefully revealing or nude around a stranger, a boudoir shoot should be all about you and having a freakin' blast.  Like you said, who doesn't want to feel sexy?

And when you're 100 and you've got some saggy parts, and a few wrinkles, you and your man/woman can retreat to the hidden room in your futuristic house and reminisce happily about the 'good ol days' but then realize you've aged beautifully like a nice wine - and hot dang, you decide you'll have some new ones taken....

#1934043 Your 2015

I got all A's and B+'s in my first semester of college.

Dating my last boyfriend.

Possibly I can go the distance from Hercules as well.

Congratulations on an awesome first semester!  You killed it.  I lost my scholarship my first semester.   :S
As for dating your last boyfriend - I can relate.  Obviously not with YOUR boyfriend... but my ex from a few years back was the mistake of a lifetime.  *gag*  I learned more from one crappy relationship than several good ones, though.  Kinda makes me wonder if the head/heartache was worth it.
And lastly, "I Can Go the Distance" = HELL YEAH.  Good pick!

Oh boy!  A questionare!

Going to school and doing something with my life. :p

I probably should have gone to my 10th High School Reunion, despite me having bad times at the school.

Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

Kudos for pursuing your higher education!  What are you studying?  :)  I just started my Masters this year... but here at the ripe age of 28, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
Also, I went to my reunion this year.  If you get a chance to go to the next one (maybe 15 if your school is like mine?) - I definitely suggest it!  I was bullied and picked on a lot in high school - and for the longest time, I thought I would go back and gloat on my successes and "give them a taste of their own." But it was nothing like that.  It was just nice to catch up some people I haven't spoken to in 10 years, and see that we all act like adults now.  One guy was still a bully, but it was because he peaked in high school, and the reunion was another chance to relive his glory days.
And "Don't Stop Me Now" was my song of the year for 2014!  SO GOOD - it makes me want to dance naked.  Weird.

I made a huge step towards accomplishing my dream. I made it into my college's school of music!!! Now on my way to becoming a high school band director and I'm really much happier now that I made that decision.

Not telling my parents that I'm sexually attracted to guys. My dad might hate me less (doubtful, he hated me already) and I would be able to hang out with more of my friends... :/

I usually don't, but since I'm "an adult" now I figured what the hell, why not give it a shot. My goals are: Stop swearing, get into a relationship or lose my virginity, get a job, and to listen to a different composer every 2 weeks and write down my top 3 (or 5, not sure yet) favorite songs by them.

Awesome goal of becoming a HS band director!  Actually, now that I'm thinking of my HS reunion, one of my friends from band back in the day was there directing at my old school.  It fit him, and it made me so happy to see that he reached his dream and was influencing the lives of young musicians like my band director did for us so long ago!  Never stop pursuing that. :)  He was number five of my friends to become a director, and hopefully I'll be bragging on you when you becoming my 6th friend.

I am sorry that your family, particularly your dad, didn't react well to you coming out.   :(   I wish that it wasn't something you regret, and that it could have been more cathartic for you.  I know it doesn't mean much coming from a stranger in a forum, but you deserve to be honest with your family and friends - and your own happiness and acceptance of yourself doesn't depend on their opinions.  (You've probably heard this 1,000 times, so I'm sorry if it's a repeat.)  At any rate, if you ever need to just chat or vent about it - my inbox is always open.

Finally, "stop swearing" is a great goal.  I had to stop for a month because of a class I was in, and I formed some better speaking habits.  I don't think I'll ever completely stop, but my goal is to "swear less"   *tehee*  I also adore your idea of listening to a new composer - that sounds superb!

#1933665 What Song Are You Listening To Right Now?

*sigh*
Fairytale of New York.
Right in the Christmas feels...

I think the best version is Iron & Wine with Calexico on Jimmy Fallon, but I couldn't find the video anymore.
