I'd much rather have knives, rocks, bows, crossbows, and brass knuckles being pointed at me than guns.. just sayin' :|
I had a teacher back in high school who told us that when he was in school in the 50s/60s, if a student had a problem with another student, they'd make them fight each other with boxing gloves in the school gym in front of their class. If we had the resources to do so, I'd make everyone settle their differences with a pair of 16oz gloves.
