Pet Trading Up

So I don't spend a lot of time on the trading scene, mostly just use it to attempt to get permanent pets so I was hoping someone could dish out some trading advice to me?

 

To eventually obtain a higher end UC of some sort, what sort of starting pet would you recommend?

 

I'm especially hopeless with the RW/RN market as I have no idea how to tell what's easy to trade and what isn't.

Hi everyone! I'm newish around here, I never got a chance to introduce myself before so here I am now! ^_^
