Ah.

Happy birthday then! So many things I'm learning today.

I hope it's been a good birthday, and not a crummy one. Was there cake?

EDIT: I forgot your birthday gif.

All the disambiguations.

If you want to get technical, you can go ahead and submit a blank template and argue that it adheres to the rules. I don't think that such an entry will be judged very highly by your peers, however.

#1661757 Spanking and Other Forms of Punishment

Posted by Rival on 24 April 2013 - 11:53 AM

Spanking as a controlled measure of discipline is okay, but it's a very fine line. It's arguable that it causes more harm than good because the 'right' way to spank is so dubious. I know too many parents who allow anger to get in the way of punishment. You should never, ever, ever hit your child when you are angry. Send the kid to his room first and calm down. Have him say why you are doing what you're doing. Use an open palm and don't hit to cause pain.

Spanking a spouse to 'discipline' or harm them is immoral. Always. Same applies to any person other than your child under the correct circumstances. Children are underdeveloped and at a critical point in their psychodevelopmental processes. Spanking is a form of active, positive punishment (adding a stimulus into the environment as opposed to taking something away).
