With help from @KaibaSama we tested score sending's safetiness in 2020 September. 

With a less then 7 days old shell account on Tor proxy, score senders were used to get avatars and trophy. It appears to be safe right now. That being said AoB is still recommended but for non-main accounts perhaps the convenience would outweigh the risk for some of you. 

Here is a SS list, credit to @Toga. It is a decent list to get started.
