1. Personally i would go with NOD32.. i have been using it for years and never had one problem.
2. I have a hardware firewall and again never had any problems, disable the windows POS!
3. I use windows defender and it seems to do the job and keeps everything running smooth!

if you look at the post for required files you need an update from the windows site for control pad or something like that. This fixed this error for me.
