There are a few battledome items that require having XXXX amount of intelligence to gain their full effect.

Only time it matters (for battling) is with specific items that require it, i.e. Heavy Robe of Thievery.

Used 7 more for net gain of +12. That 1.7/potion gain is holding pretty steady so far.

The Heavy Robe of Thievery was a bad example.

Check out the Crisp Blue Tunic, Blue Draping Cloak, and the primary use for intelligence; the Heavy Blue Tunic.

Just tried 3 x Twisted Potion of Strength:

S+1 (WTF, this was supposed to go +5 for D/S or do nothing)
S+1 (seriously....)
Nothing Happens

Pretty obvious these potions need to stabilize/have their effects better verified.

I updated the Bubbling Fungus since Yung didn't.

-5 str - 0 times
-4 str - 0 times
-3 str - 6 times
-2 str - 1 times
-1 str - 4 times
+1 str - 6 times
+2 str - 8 times
+3 str - 13 times
+4 str - 5 times
+5 str - 9 times

Total: 52 Bubbling Fungus used.
Average: +1.961538462 STR

Not a large amount, but good enough to start some data collection. It seems that you will never lose more than you can potentially gain.

Thanks! There's little doubt IMO that Fungus is a dramatically better value than ASP. With Fungus for Strength & A-Negg for Def, high-level training has changed dramatically. Now we just need something this cheap for HP...

Just took 32 more Bubbling Fungus for an avg gain of 1.125. Variance definitely came around.

23 "Jar of Forest Earth" = +24 str for 1.04/per

Most interesting thing is that about 75% did nothing so when it does add strength, it does so in a big way.

Is there a way for you to possibly record each stat change? That way we could dump it all together and see which is the most likely and work out %s and probabilities.

Pretty long data for those that care to use it: (also have individual stat points, if anyone wants to see the breakdown for any particular item)

410 Bubbling Fungus for an average gain of 1.414634 str per use
430 Jars of Forest Earth for an average gain of .953488 str per use.
200 Twisted Potion of Strength for an average gain of 1.26 str per use.

Will begin testing of Meridellian Potion of Strength soon, which is the analogue of Twisted Potion of Strength for defense. However, looking at its cost and TPoS's statistics, its unlikely it could ever be more cost efficient than Armoured Neggs. But it would certainly be faster.

Also have pages of data on Cooling Balm of Warrior, Bomberry Elixir, and Essence of Drackonack, but they all boil down to one thing: they're fucking terrible.

As for Energising Elixir, burned through 20 for zero HP gain, did not have the heart to buy anymore.

I prefer bubbling fungus over Altador Strength Potion -  it is cheaper in the long run. I used 250 (exactly) funguses and gained roughly 1.55 str points per potion. That is nearly 400str points! I can also confirm after using 100 Cooling Balms of the Warrio that they are completely useless. I gained only 14 defence points. Stay away from it!

Wasn't the Altador Strength potion given out as a reward from the faeries ruin plot?

Total STR gain 29 for 575k. 2.9 STR per BF. Approx 20k per STR point.

I would say I got lucky doing this. If I were to power train again, I'd buy only bubbling fungus, neggs [to get 40k priced armoured neggs] and scratch cards. I dont think Altador Strength Potions are cost effective. Maybe its just cause  BF price dropped from 100k.
