Simple enough: who was your first friend on codex? Alternatively, if you don't have any, who would you like to be your first friend?

Mine, embarrassingly, was probably onlyme. I didn't know very many people too well and got to know her very well in tinychat. Little did I know, she's a crazy, dirty, illiterate hippie who smells of cats.

Rather than spamming *cough* above posts *cough* the first person I can honestly say I felt was my friend on here is soul__stealer . I'm disappointed that things turned out the way that they did with him however I still wish him the best as I'm sure many of us do.

I've known soul__stealer and a few others around here before I even came to codex. But if we're talking about a friend we've gained after joining, I'd say Dan. He taught me a lot of C# / C++ programming and was a great individual to talk to. Though he's not around here anymore, I still talk to him on twitter every so often.

I think I'd have to consider Lisa my first close friend here as well, despite our somewhat negative initial encounter, which involved an argument about dressing up pets.

Kway has also been there to help me but we've not had many personal conversations, most of our discussions have revolved purely around programming and him helping me with my Java work. I can see it turning into a friendship but so far it's been all work talk.
