hahah I remember I watched the Brain Games on Discovery a while back. They did an experiment or more like a prove that you can get a right answer (approx.) in mathematical calculation in a guessing game like these ones. Simply sum all of the guesses and divide by the number of guesses. The trick is that it basically gets the average where the answer is closer to the real answer with increasing number of guesses.
And yeah, the flaw is that you have to know each people guesses where in real life situation you won't get a hold of that information easily right ? hahah
