im scared, vegetables, doom

My daughters are Alanna (6) and Makenna (5). Last night, Joe was cooking dinner. We gave the girls the choice of what vegetable we had. Their choices were green beans, peas or corn.

Alanna: Green beans
Makenna: Corn

Me: Ok, you guys are going to have to agree on one. Green beans or corn?

Alanna: Green beans
Makenna: Corn

Me: I'm not making both. Alanna, are you willing to have corn?

Alanna: No.

Me: Makenna, are you willing to have green beans?

Makenna: No.

Joe: You guys can either agree on a vegetable or we will make the vegetable that neither of you chose. Alanna, what do you want?

Alanna: Green beans.

Joe: Makenna?

Gamer Problems

Posted by Nymh, 11 October 2014 · 1127 views

So... WoD is coming up soon, and I really want to play WoW right now. I don't have my legendary cape yet. I know it will be obsolete with the new gear coming out, but I feel like it will be that much harder to get my new gear if I don't have my ilvl high enough. It's 529 right now.

Mah gear: http://www.askmrrobo...htbringer/jenea

The problem is thus - Joe and I are pretty committed to Minecraft right now, and I have only about an hour a day in which I can play any games (with a few more hours over the weekends). I don't have enough time to do both! I don't know what to doooooooo *breaks down into ugly gamer tears*

The Arrival of Lelly

Posted by Nymh, 28 December 2013 · 730 views

Lelly is a term of endearment, a nickname if you will, for Joe's mum Lesley. She says she is too young to be a granny, so when she inherited two grandchildren through Joe and my relationship, "Lelly" she became. We have been looking forward to her arrival for several weeks, as this is her first visit to America, and she is coming to attend our wedding. I am excited for her to experience rural southern America, in all its obese, crude, illiterate glory.

Joe and my stepmother disembarked on a two-hour drive to the airport in Louisville to pick her up yesterday afternoon. Pleasant conversation and idle chit-chat kept them busy for the duration of the drive. Her plane landed at around 5PM, and they arrived just in time to pick her up. Everything was going swimmingly.

Except for one thing.

Lelly's flight wasn't until today.

Joe survived the two-hour ride back (which I wasn't sure he would). My father and I, who were waiting for them to return at my parents' house, were expressly told to have the liquor ready.
