I was going to write something meaningful, but instead i decided just to rant.

IMMIGRATION... if anyone has ever dealt with them before (apart from a tourist visa), you will know that the word alone is enough to say a lot. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, in this case a word is worth a million. I very strongly dislike waiting on immigration, mostly because i am just plain impatient. I really want to move on with life

My attempt at self-calming-

Pro's (to this seemingly endless wait)
- i get to be on Codex a lot
- My family gets to spend endless amounts of quality time with our inlaws (honestly they are the best!!)
- I get to see my amazing friend(s)
- We are very well supported by our family
- Husband studies from home, so he helps out with baby

Cons
- Our lives currently have no purpose.
- We have nothing to do most of the time
- Our lives have no purpose
- Our stuff is a MESS (since we have two rooms to live a full house worth of stuff for 3 people)
- Our lives have no purpose


Okay.. well, since typing 'Our lives have no purpose' so many times i hope you can see what i am most irritated about. It has also given me a chance to think about 'purpose' a little (i mean a little since i have only been typing for maybe a minute lol). I guess what i really mean is that neither of us are able to set big goals because of our lack of time (even though, some days, it feels like we have an abundance of it). I am convinced that every day is significant and we are both learning to enjoy each day as it is given to us.

There, seemed to have worked.

Well, I would love to go on and on about how immigration is slow and just sucky, but it won't change anything. I also know that i will be loving them just as soon as my Green card arrives (or husbands visa).. Any day now right?!

Everytime i see the word IMMIGRATION (not necessarily in caps), i feel a small surge or rage... then something random happens (like i write a blog, or i sigh), and it goes away... Sigh.

Lets talk film.
I spent a good while avoiding ever seeing the film 'Pitch Perfect' because it had such great reviews (i know, 'whaaaat'?). I did a degree in music and am usually unimpressed with film that revolve around music. Choral music in particular is something i spent some time focusing on in my studies and I just couldn't handle watching a film that pretended it knew what it was doing. lol. It turns out I am just really arrogant about my knowledge of choral music etc. I loved Pitch Perfect a whole lot! It was so funny (Rebel Wilson anyone?) and the music was amazebeans.

'Willow' and 'Laws of Attraction' are two films i don't even remember watching for the first time. All i can remember is thinking "Must. Watch. Again.", then buying the DVD, watching them several times and forever since calling them my favorites... They are still my 'go to' films.

'Look Both Ways' is an Australian film (need I say more?). It is totally weird, and super awkward... I just love it. I may never know why! It has a really odd artsy spin on it that i have never seen before. I think it is cool... why not.

Okay, TV time!
It would appear that i watch a lot of television. The truth factor is that i only started watching all of these shows well after they had aired their first few seasons on television.. then i would watch them online or buy the dvd case. I don't really watch TV. lol.

I don't have a whole lot to say about these guys because they are just plain awesome lol. 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' and 'Chuck' cater to my modern comdey needs, while 'Bones' nicely suits my investigative adventure needs (if you can call it that). 'The Lucy Show', 'Mork and Mindy' and 'Soap' are much older and absolutely hilarious. I studied comedy for a little while and find these guys to be especially inspirational!! I have learned so much about comedy from these three shows. I have lot of respect for them and love them completely! Sometimes lameness is awesome

I recently confessed to my husband that i think i am stuck in the 90s. He said it was because my inner child misses the adventures it had there. Not going to argue with that. Here are some fads i still love from the 90s.

1. The bubble 'stuff'.

It may not be practical, but i just love it, it is so fun. I had multiple bubble backpacks growing up and would have loved to have had a game room with bubble furniture


2. 90's hair

Olsen twins anyone? I totally love the spikey hair look (never do it, but love it). It reminds me of old Olsen twin films, i always wanted to look like those girls!! I also love the half up hair do, what i like to call 'Brandy' braids, butterfly clips and CRIMPS!


3.THIS

I whip it out at parties ... A regular jaw dropper for the younger generations (jks)


4. Platforms!

I literally had a brown pair of these babies. lol. Trends have changed, but i still enjoy them! they are just a whole lot of fun.


5. Pens...

If they weren't so useless to my life, i would have one of these pens in every color they came in lol. Receiving a card from me would always be a colorful surprise.

6. The choker

I had a billion of these! they were so cool! and guess what... THEY'RE COMING BACK IN! I am pretty excited, but may be a little too old to seriously enjoy this again haha.


7. Overalls!

Wore, wear them, will continue wearing them. I love them and i don't even know why?! But they keep changing with them times, so i keep on wearing them


8. Spice Girls

I was never into a lot of music, but these guys?! these guys were my favorites... i think i bought like 20 spice girls rings, watched all the films, played 'spice girls' with my friend, owned their concert recordings... oh boy! I have great memories with these ladies, and stil get a touch excited when i see one of them in a film or on tv. lol


9. Nintendo 64.

Actually, my true love is the super Nintendo, but i remember playing Mario kart with my friends and always getting super upset when i lost a game (i am a little competitive). I used think that playing the Nintendo 64 made my nose super soft because when i touched my nose after playing for 30mins my thumb had gone numb. haha. Any time i would ask my friends 'come touch my nose' they were like 'whaaaaaat?!'.

10. Toe Socks!!

This was totally me!! I wore these to ma kneez all the time! My best friend and I were pretty 'cool', and usually quite easy to find in a crowd. I still enjoy these, perhaps not as a wardrobe essential, but certainly for some fun, or even on a cold day with some sneaky flipflops


I think i shall stop at 10. I used to think that i would never ever look back at old photos and think 'as if you would' (you know like when you look at photos form the 70s ), but i definitely do that now, and i love it lol.

RAH I worked on this post for AGES! it had awesome pictures and gifs, but then when i posted, it was TOO LONG! Welp! all that hard work..

I enjoy watching beauty YouTubers, here are some of my favorites... Link me yours, and why you love to watch them

1. Charlotte Tibury


I really love watching her videos. She is way too in love with makeup, but brilliant at her job. If you have no idea about makeup, she is a great place to get solid beauty tips. She mostly uses her own products (her channel was most probably set up for advertising), and sticks to high end makeup products. Charlotte is really great to watch once you get past her ego and realize that she probably is as good as she says she is lol.


2. Lisa Eldridge


She is so sweet and beautiful! She does a variety of looks on a variety of people. She is pretty set on using high end product, which i personally can never afford, but i love every single one of the looks she creates or replicates. She is a pretty successful makeup artist, and offers some really cool tips on makeup application and product choices.

3. Lauren Curtis


Lauren is an Australian beauty guru, who, i believe, is best know for her brown toned smokey eye looks. This is great for me since blacks and greys look silly on my face lol. She tends to stick with her favorite makeup brands, which works for me as i use most of them. The only bummer is that she only posts once a week, and her videos are usually quite similar or not at all relevant to makeup applications (its my personal preference). Lauren doesn't typically offer loads of makeup tips, but she is a great resource for eye makeup looks.


4. Wayne Goss


Wayne is a little bit of a hodge podge, but is the best place to go for general advice about makeup products! Any time i need to know about a specific product i head over to YouTube and type in the name of the product and Wayne Goss. He has lots of videos the review makeup products and they all include, what i believe to be, really good justifications for his decisions. Wayne is also good at sharing tips and tricks that are somewhat unique, and usually very easy to access (no 10min intros to 2mins tutorials). His video posts are usually quite random and unconnected, and they are always titled in CAPS.



Those are probably my main favorites. I also enjoy watching 'pixiwoo' videos and some 'Kandee Johnson'. There are plenty more that i watch and have subscribed too, but none that i just love as much as the ones i have already mentioned.
