If you just join a random group for the group challenges you're practically guaranteed to fail. Start your own group and recruit on the neoboards.

I joined/created groups for hours- not ONCE did we complete the mission.
I suggest just joining random groups and hoping for the best. That is how I earned the Jack of All Stations achievement.

Cast Away will keep people trying and solving the spells, the barrier thing is kept up in hope of plot points and the rest of the people try to damage oblivion now

Just use the weapon (deals the icon displayed on the right of Oblivion's name) to attack Oblivion.

Here's what I used:

Light: Scroll of Moon Light
Fire: Fiery Sun Scroll
Wind: Scroll of the Western Winds
Dark: Scroll of The Dark Star
Earth: Caustic Potion
Water: Blue Frost Cannon

You are free to use other weapons that deals only 1 type of icon damage as well.
