It's my experience that humorous statements tend to have a more favourable impact when they're, you know, actually humorous.

It's my experience that any statement tends to have a more favourable impact when they're, you know, not primarily based on one's subjectivity.
Humor is subjective; *I* found it amusing. You did not. :p

Edit:// I am aware this post is base on my own subjectivity :p

I completely see where you're getting at.
But if you would have made the statement not so technical and just appreciated its good humour I'm sure you would have enjoyed it as much as I did when I read it. Instead of trying to prove it wrong by saying not all floors are the same therefore how can you say that it is bigger than a shelf.

Sometimes it's not a good idea to pick apart things until they become unfunny.

I'm English. We have comedians older than your entire country.
I think the idea that my palette is considerably more refined than your own is self-evident.

I like how you add the I'm English little chunk.
I'd just like to add, that I also am.
    So cool.
    What's my country.

Arguing against sweeney is just completely pointless. He will always change the subject when things are not going his way. You can give him 50 facts, and only one is wrong. He will attack just that one, and ignore the rest.

Its not a fun, or good, or even productive argument. Its just him trying to act smart. Best to ignore it.

Actually, embarrassing for you. Now that you just realized that there is someone from your country that has overpowered you in beauty, intelligence, cooking, quick-thinking, neopets and all aspects of life. I understand completely if you feel threatened by my awesomeness.

I think she meant she is so cool.

    Anywhoo, I'm out; grub time.
Enjoy the pillow talk. (Floor talk?)

Also, Sweeney, before you hop back up on that high horse, take note:
I have multitudes of books. I'm currently renovating one of the rooms in my house into a swanky library. ;) I have shit-tons (technical phrase) of shelves and shelving units.
My floor..? It's still the largest shelf of them all. :p

I'll give you beauty, cooking and neopets. None of those are things that I particularly strive to excell at.
As for intelligence, and quick-thinking, I don't believe you've demonstrated anything of the sort. Perhaps you could point out precisely where you believe you've bested me in these qualities?

No more pointless than arguing with anyone else on the internet.
Point out once where I have done a bait and switch. That's more a tactic that you like to employ.

And obviously I'd attack the wrong "fact". Attacking the right ones would be somewhat pointless, wouldn't it?

Maybe that's why you're so grumpy. Because you're ugly. I feel bad now.

Your floor is still not "the floor".
I suggest you at least take the time to understand the very basic point of an argument before you attempt to weigh in.

I think bringing up the concept of beauty, twice, in the context of comparison makes the point well enough.

So you brought up the concept of size, at least twice, in the context of comparison to shelfs.
Are you insecure about your size???

For a start, I never implied that your fixation on beauty was an indication of insecurity, only that it was a sad reflection on the way you percieve people.

Secondly, you really are grasping at the straws of ad hominem, aren't you? What does the size of shelves (a point eminently relevant to the discussion) have to do with my own girth?

Life tends to agree with her on that one bro

Not in the case of the people whose opinions I care about.
