That was for breast cancer awareness although how that's supposed to raise awareness is beyond me.

I think these facebook trends catch on because many people want to look/feel like they're doing something when they really aren't doing anything.

I don't remember it ever being proven that this was indeed

started by pedophiles. However, I'm pretty sure a large majority

of at least the people on my friend's list didn't do it because

they give a fuck about supporting awareness of child abuse.

I think they just wanted everyone to know that this is what

Blanket Advertising. If you pass out 100 flyers, 1 person is bound to get interested (made up statistic but meh). Same thing with the Facebook pictures. Most people are gonna go 'wtf is this for' and out of the you know... MILLIONS OF FACEBOOK USERS there's going to be at least one person that's gonna be a bit intrigued. Just because you see no sense in it doesn't mean there isn't.
