I heard the educational system is a lot more regulated and competitive in singapore. And I've also heard that the the singaporean moms are the most deadly strain of asian moms.....the supermom of asian moms...
Hahaha! Yea, education here's tough. Gotta study regularly to keep up. I hate studying so my grades really suck and all, but I don't really care.
idk about that stereotype but I'd say my mom did a very good job raising me as a kid. She has to work, clean the house, and take care of me >_>. And I never did felt neglected.
Hmm..... deadly strain of asian moms, that i probably agree. Every kid fears getting beat/caned D:

I can't possibly imagine a mom that's worse than your regular asian mom....
Well, I have three brothers. Andrew is 8 years older than me, Ryan is 2 years younger, and Kyle is two years younger than Ryan.
When I was nine we moved to Texas. My older brother had his senior year of high school 500 miles from all of his childhood friends. That probably pissed him off. A lot. He graduated and went to university back in Missouri. Freshman year he failed out. Went back the next fall - failed out again. Went to live in St. Louis (which is where we're from) and started fresh at a new university. He got his shit together eventually, but you can see how I might lose touch with him. I still talk to him occasionally, and we're all together at holidays, but we're not uber close or anything.
Ryan could pass for my twin. Not that we're as close as twins, but he looks exactly like me. I really don't know what goes on behind his head sometimes. Don't take that the wrong way, he's not malicious or dumb or something - he's just a mystery. He was often the silent one, the tie breaker, you know? But he did through a phase where he just had to have his opinion heard, and his opinions were always sweeping generalizations. They were good for a laugh, but eventually we had to tell him why he was wrong. Then he got really funny.
Kyle is the baby and it shows. He used to tattle just to get the attention, like most youngest children. He wasn't as strong academically as Ryan and myself, but he's apparently a state ranked cross country runner now. Or at least the high school team is ranked. Anyway, he wasn't as big a reader or gamer as me and Ryan.
Hobo is my brother and we get along pretty good. All my friends think we're super close cause we eat lunch together every day.
I think it's pretty cute that you sit with him. Out of curiosity, why every day? Are the two of you alone?
But then you tell them we aren't and that I'm a dark and mysterious guy right? Must cultivate edward cullens-like personality at new school
Your sister's friends? Eww. Don't piss where you sleep. Because if they're mad, so is Cara.
Werewolves are awesome, your logic is flawed.
I am very close with my immediate family. There are four of us, and we were raised by a single mother who enriched our lives with music, art, movies, and literature. And I am so grateful for that.
Spoiler
I have a sister who is 29, she has her own apartment and her own life. I will never forgive her for abandoning the household in the short notice way she did 2 years ago, we were starving at one point because we no longer had her income to help pay the bills. I also think part of me was jealous she we free from the burden of having to provide for a mother who is too disabled to have a real job, but not disabled enough to get a free ride from the government. But time heals all wounds, so we get along okay. If you were to ask her who is her favorite sibling, it would be me.
My younger sister is 25. We share a room and have the same job at different pharmacies, so we share war stories about stupid fucking people every day. She's a bit snobby, and self righteous. She mainly only ever cares about herself, but I guess that's just how some girls are. Growing up, she had an easy time in school because I'd always be there to look out for her, but now that she's out in life and work on her own, she's made some enemies. But she's my baby sister and I love her. If you were to ask her who is her favorite sibling, it would be me.
My younger brother is 18. Everyone loves him. He's such a fucking shameless clown, it's hard not to. Strangers wave at him from their cars or give him compliments on his hair, beard, or whatever Led Zeppelin or Boston shirt he happens to be wearing- EVERYDAY. Ever since he was a little child, he had a natural talent for drawing, but now that he's older we play guitar and piano together all the time, and deep down I'm so jealous at how good he is at EVERYTHING he does. He is the Angus to my Malcolm Young. If you were to ask him who is his favorite sibling, it would be me.
If you were to ask me who my favorite sibling is, it would be my brother. And I don't feel like there's any shame in having a favorite. Shit, I was my mom's favorite until that little bastard was born. Ah. Glory days.
I can understand you being the favorite. I probably pissed Ryan off growing up. But he definitely likes me more than Kyle. Kyle looked up to Ryan as his immediate older brother, but not as much as he idolized Andrew. They have a significant age difference. Of all my siblings, Kyle probably sees through my bullshit the most. I dunno why, but he can tell. Andrew sympathizes with me because when he was my age he was going through the same shit.
I'm an only child. However, I have many half brothers & sisters and a couple of adopted brothers. Including myself, there are about 10 of us. 12 if you want to include my adopted brothers. Of my many half siblings, I'm only really "close" to one (despite the age difference of about 19 or 20 years) because he's who I grew up with. Every other half sibling I have, I don't really care for that much. I know them and we talk when we see each other at family gatherings (which is rare), but that's about it. The ones I'm closest to are my adopted brothers, who are my nephews by blood. They're the sons of my "close brother" who I mentioned above. Funny how his sons are his brothers. Bwahaha But yeah, we're closer in age so it's natural we'd be closer.

Step mom or dad? And how did your family sustain such a large family? Or was it your mom's side had a bunch of other halfies and your dads side had a bunch of halfies?
I have one half brother, he's 10 years old and autistic, we get along great. We play together and stuff. I take him to the park when I come home for the holidays.

Does he have some sort of mental talent, ie. being able to memorize a phonebook etc
The only member of my family im close to is my mom. Ya its embarrassing but idgaf. My dad's mostly never around and im an only child. We live pretty far from the town so i end up spending the weekends with my mom when I was a kid. Nowadays I just take her out to dinner if I can.
Did I mention I hate my relatives? Kings and Queens of gossip.
Yeah, my relatives thrives on gossip also. E.g. How are your grades? When are you getting married?
Gah, new year socializing is so boring and repetitive. Everybody ask the same old questions and you can tell nobody is really interested but merely following a custom.
Do you and your siblings/family get along? Are you guys super close in general? If not, why not? One of my friends simply isn't close with his sister because "they don't have anything in common". still you've lived with her your whole life. how do you not find SOMETHING to talk about.
WE get along pretty welll especially my younger brother who is my workout partner. You need to be willing to open up to your sibling
He can play the piano by ear. He taught himself how to play when he was like 3. And he's really good at drawing (but I'm better)
WOW. Egotistic much when you claim you are better at something than an autistic fellow. I hope you apply for art school and get rejected Hitler. That's right, I called you Hitler.
ONT: I have two siblings, sister 8 years older and brother 6 years older. Those two belong to the same dad, while we share a mother (whoreslutbitch btw). I obviously got the good end genes from my dad's Irish side, I'm tall and like beer. Hopefully I don't become alcoholic and grow beer guts like every male in his line though. lulz. ANWYAYS we used to get along alright, I don't really speak to them now, bit of an age barrier.
because I want to seem dark and mysterious *cough*
I am dark handsome and very mysterious. Unfortunately no other male in my family is like this. Or my sister. Hm.........has my mom been playing around?!??!!?!?

PS. DO you know that there are some extraordinary cases with cheating. For example, a man "fathers" a family of four. And upon the paternity tests none of the kids were his. In fact, there were 3 different fathers for the four children. (news article) on women and cheating
