Make a program that logs into your account and refreshes at the Magma Pool every few minutes.
When it gets into the pool, have it document the time it got in so you know for future use.

Possibly, let is paint your active pet Magma? That would be cash.

Pyro (a programmer on this site) created a Greasemonkey script for this. There is a link in his signature if you can find one of his posts.

I had no idea there were actually Greasemonkey scripts made here.. :)

Ever since I got my cr-48 I've been trying to learn about extension scripting.

Thanks so much!

How do I use it? -feels stupid- Does it just tell me when my magma pool time is there? Do/Should I leave the magma pool open?

Assuming you've got GM installed, install the script then go to: http://www.neopets.c...agma/pool.phtml
The script will refresh the page every 8-10mins until it finds a time when the guard is asleep and tell you that time in a message box.

I'm sooooo sorry for not being smart ok...? Having said that, I tried to find the answer to my question but didn't, so I'm feeling forced to ask it here... Do I simply install the extension provided by "iomega" on Chrome, and leave the magma pool open? Or it doesn't even work with Chrome?

Not sure if it works with chrome or not; its a grease monkey plugin that i built for firefox... Some simple googling (aka: chrome grease monkey script) should help you figure out how to get it working (if it does).

(once you get it installed and working, just open up the magma pool and leave it alone until you see a popup message)

Chrome has something built into it that can handle grease monkey scripts :)

Thanks Pyro.
It seems like it works, but I don't trust my "computing research abilities". So I'll wait and also make tests with other extensions :p

EDIT: Oh, thanks Skrillex.

You have to be on the page the entire time on a tab in order for the script to work.

And it works with chrome. :) no extra installation needed.

Thanks for that, clears up a doubt I had about it not working with chrome.
