I completely missed this topic >.> Sorry Argue.... But ill share a story with you so you know i understand your pain

(This is pyro being serious btw)

My entire life ive never really had many friends; always been the social outcast or pariah. Ive yet to attend (or be invited to) any kind of high school / college party. That is just to give you a good prelude to my life in general. Yes i know that i am pathetic or what ever, but ive learned to deal with it and have accepted my loneliness. Even now i have one friend and only get to see him once a week, if that.

That being said women never even paid attention to me up until grade 11, never had a date, still a virgin and just more pathetic depressing bullshit. In about the middle of grade 11 me and my friend took a trip to Moncton (A city about 1.5 hours away) it was there that i met Melissa); at the time she was one of those cute emo/goth chicks which i was attracted to at that point. She was off hanging with her group of friends and it was my turn to play Pump it Up. Now me and my friends are originally Dance Dance Revolution people so we totally sucked (the difference is that the pad is inverted, meaning instead of side/side and up/down it was the corners and middle). That being said my friend accidentally put his side on some stupid level system (that i have no idea to date how to use) and started to fail hard core. He then jumped off and Melissa got on and completely kicked my ass. We still didn't talk at all (cause i was so shy); we went home and i asked John (a friend i made in moncton) for her MSN, and he said that she had already asked him for mine. We talked for a bit online, flirted a bit, etc; we went back down to Moncton a few months later for an anime convention that was taking place. She got super excited, and when we were down there one thing led to another and i asked her out. Now, me saying that its not like i then jumped into bed with her or anything, in fact all that all changed was we held hands (and to put on record i never did have sex with her). Things went rather slowly, but as i described in the beginning i never had experienced anything like this before. Needless to say i fell in love rather quickly. So the relationship moves on; we kissed eventually (my first kiss); things seemed to be going ok and then one day (4 months, 29 days, 23 hours and 45 minutes later actually) she gets off the bus in Fredericton on a trip to come see me. And someone else is there to pick her up. It was a real punch in the balls, like it REALLY hurt, i don't think that I've ever hurt so badly in my life to be completely honest with you. When she stepped off the bus, i took the necklace off that she had given me, put it in her hands, and said "hes over there"; then walked away. Im very proud that i didn't cry; because i wanted to.

I'm gonna leave the main story now because you can probably get what i was feeling from that. It took me over a year to get over her fully. Every day i thought about her. What she was doing, who she was with, if he got to have sex with her; all that really depressing shit. I was a total mess. Now argue, this does have a point because i was not intending to talk about myself this entire post without having something relevant to add for your benefit. I loved her very much, she was my first real love and she hurt me very badly. It took a lot of time to get over her, but i realized that pain and suffering are all a part of life and looking at where she is in life now feels like karma has come back and kicked her in the ass. I wont talk about it really, but i am defiantly on the upper plateau right now and with someone i love and value much more. Sure me and Kayla have our differences; we fight often; but i wouldn't trade what i have with her for the world. I'm 100% sure that if i can go from the pitiful state i was in to having a wonderful girlfriend who i know loves and values me; you should have absolutely no problem with it man :)

Hope you enjoyed the read :p

Think of it this way.. It is better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all.. That being said, it will be okay.

*sigh* I do love you pyro.

so, iargue, did it help? did this thread help you get over it?
isn't it kind of better for her to move on? you said that you truly loved her... would you then want her to be relationally stunted for the rest of life?

Yes. It did help. Its good to know people do care still. Even if most of them are strangers on the internet, who have never pmed me with interest to know more about me :p

And of course I want her to move on now that shes done with me. But the problem is that I never wanted her to move on, and was secretly hoping she would realize no man compares to me, and come back.

Bitches be crazy. :/ Just screw as many as you can in a month without contracting a disease and I'll consider you the winner of the break-up.

I've never been the kind of guy to screw multiple woman. I had sex once outside of a relationship, and I promised myself I would never do that again. I refuse to have sex until we have both said "I love you"

Not gonna quote you pyro (because it's hard to edit :o but I love you even more now. Which is a hard task, believe me.

I love you too Argue. Believe me when I say I really don't give a shit about people I don't like/think are good people, especially on the internet. You have friends who care about you, and while it's not the same as a relationship, we can help you get through it! I know you guys helped me tons when it happened to me (although I wasn't heart broken :o). You're a great guy argue, you just need someone who can appreciate it :)

This is unlikely, but it does happen sometimes. The thing most likely to bring an ex back around is THEM realizing that YOU have moved on - and don't NEED them anymore. I know because it happened to me. 6 months after the final breakup (on again/off again dating forever), I was in another relationship, a new job, doing great and ex showed up on my doorstep with a ring in hand. Of course I threw him out! But he pursued me for another 6 months and finally I said yes. We have been married for 9 years.

The good thing is if they DO come back, you get to decide if you still want them or not. If they don't, you didn't waste away waiting for them.

My first and last ex came back a month or so after the breakup (Yeah I had one boyfriend.. Sad). I made it clear we were done, and he never came back again. It was a great relationship at first, but, it went downhill from there. Most of the time I'm pretty sure I made the right decision, but sometimes I wonder if he had changed, and maybe I lost out on a great guy.. I really really hope I didn't.

But stories like this make me wonder :(

I wonder if he's moved on. He must have by now. Blah.

Why do you just assume that making a girl cry is the way for her to stick around or love you?
I don't think it works that way.

Either way I offered you biscuits and gravy and you didn't even acknowledge the fact that I remembered it's your favourite.
    -_- Never say I don't pay attention.

I am... was... with my boyfriend the last 5 years. Few days ago I found out he's cheating on me. I tried to cry, I really did but I just can't. All I feel is pure anger and disappointment. And this doesn't mean I don't love him... The tears are not proof or promise. I hope you'll feel better soon

You probably will when the anger fades.. Then it'll wallop you on the head when you least expect it :( But you can always rant here when that happens :)

I'm sorry the jerk didn't have the guts to break it off instead of being a cheatin' coward and running around behind your back. 5 years gone, but at least you didn't marry him, right? That's a good thing.

I never cried for a boy before and I don't think now's the time to start. I'm trying to ignore him and move on, but the jerk came to my apartment and I had to call the police :boxed: But this topic is not about me. If I ever decide to cry I'll make one and you can send me virtual cookies, cause you're all amazing :*

Sucks whenever you learn that the first person you truly loved, has moved on from you.

    Cheer me up someone?

    Been there done that.

I moved here in Mount Vernon, Washington about 3-4 years ago.

My first friend I got here was Sara.

Right off the bat it was as if we were friends for all our lives.

We finished each others sentences had some of the most inside jokes two people could have.

It was natural that I started to like her.

After a few weeks of harmless flirting with each other I decided to pop the question.

    She said no.

    Love is a bitch.

Know how you feel man. And I sympathize.
