So, online dating sites seem to be quite popular these days - and some people use them to meet new people and have a good time.

I knoq I use them to kill my boredom and to meet new girls in my area, but that's about it.

So, do you use them? Which ones do you use?

I recently joined Date hookup to see what the place is about. It has a nice little community behind it as well.

Hell no. I don't even want to talk to the people I already know, much less some loser who had to fill out a form of their interests to get attention.

I do know someone who met his current fiance on Plenty Of Fish. They are apparently happy, because YAY he's finally getting laid, and YAY she doesn't have to get a job because she has some dumbshit loser she met on Plenty Of Fish working two jobs to support the both of them. Works out great.

I know at least two couples that have gotten married after meeting through these sites. One of them was my sister :) I think they work, and people just don't give them a chance.

In sophomore year I was a MySpace addict and lots of friends of girls I already knew added me.
I hooked up with several people whom I met on MySpace, so I guess, technically, I have used a dating site.

MySpace and Craigslist are just legit prostitution services. Yes, I am provocative!

PS I don't really believe that.

I don't, but only because I've been in a relationship for almost 4 years and before that I was a sophomore in high school. If my boyfriend and I broke up, I couldn't see myself dating any of the current guys I know now, so I definitely wouldn't rule a dating site out. One of my friends met her boyfriend on OKCupid and they've been together for a year-ish now. I thought it was weird at first, but it seems like a good way to meet new people as long as you're cautious.

When i broke up with my long term girlfriend, a guy at work told me about a site he used. Its an aussie site called redhotpie. Its not so much for dating but for "casual encounters" to put it in a politically correct way. It was alot of fun, but nothing serious could of come from it.

Since then ( the days of me being a slut ) I have started dating a girl i went to school with after we found each other on face book. So i guess that kinda counts.

nope no way.. dont need online dating!.... hell who needs dating! whatever happen to just being your own person?!?! Im all for finding my own path before adding someone else into the mixture.. let alone someone on a dating site. leave the dating sites to the charisma impaired. when im ready to be with someone.. ill let it be known.. and they will flock by the dozens.. ( which is prolly why i wanna be single.. ugghhh)

Who says these sites are strictly for online dating? It's just another way for one to meet new people. Get to know each other, exchange phone numbers, then meet up later if you both decide it's worth a shot. Just like going to a bar and meeting some loser there. lol

People who want to meet up and do "miscellaneous" activities usually go to Craigslist first rather than trying to weed out the bros from the sex crazed animals on the dating sites.

Forgot my input: I pretty much scare women away with my hobbies so I don't care for a relationship, thus I don't date which means I don't use dating sites.

I do use. My last boyfriend was met online, and I have had many first date with men I meet online.... but am very VERY cautious... I will screen my men like Tokyo University screens applicants~~~~ ( ̄ー ̄)

right now I have meet someone I like, but he is not yet ready for relationship after recently ending 5 year relationship..... I will wait for him maybe, but still look during this time.

at first I was worried and hated myself, for maybe he was use me for our glorious minute of sex in my largest ever moment of weakness.... but I forgive myself for that and accept for events to come as they will~~~~ but as the second man I have only ever have sex with, I will not give up on him because I do like him.

    ~~aaahh~~~ am not sure why I say all this.. ( ̄へ ̄;)
