Ok, first off, this shit DOES happen, do not believe you are an outlier case. Second, I hate people who are restrained by their personal set of "rules" when dealing with people like this. When confronted with a situation like this, your "morals" mean bullshit if you don't get anything solved. Basically, you can be mean and nasty back, just as bad to them as they are to you, as long as you follow the only rules that matter, a.k.a. the LAW. Third, the end result is all that matters. If you can get the news paper to be shut down, then do it, I really could care less if it violates your sense of right and wrong. These are values are based on perception, and mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Fourth. if you are going to try to fight something politically, do not USE EMOTIONAL OPINIONS. They invalidate everything. your arguments need to factually and legally sound, and the rest will take care of itself. We have a girl at out school who is black, prolly one of ten black people in our school. She constantly preaches that we need to stop being racist. Good message, right? We'll, first she tries to use the racist card so she can do what ever she wants, because all she has to do is plead that someone is being racist (eg my white history teacher gives her a 76 on a test, and ahe says he is being racist, although she deserved that grade, because it was multiple choice and he could not affect the grade in anyway ) Then she reverse discriminates against other minorities because she "feels like it was the right thing to do". She is actually making things worse for herself. If you get the message in what im saying, great. Basically, people do not think the same as you do, so when you offer opinions, don't expect others to agree with you/take you seriously. Finally, some of the people here have already given solid ideas. I personally like Cody's, about cutting off their bottom line. There are other great ideas, but ultimately, it is illegal for them to hand out the paper if the school says so. if i can find the court case, ill edit it in
