I've read recent studies of three glasses of milk a day help maintain healthy weight, and weight loss in others. The milk science only really works because of the natural 3% fat of the milk takes a while to digest in your stomach, so you aren't hungry for longer - same principal of fiber (among other fiber reasons). If you eat when you're not hungry out of habit, then the milk won't help much at all.

Keep it simple...like many of the posters said eat less move more...I have no idea why people joke about bulimia, or purging its not a funny thing. Cut off anything you don't need in your diet. That extra salt, sugar and anything else your body doesn't need to consume. there is NO easy way to lose weight besides possibly surgery. It will take dedication, and discipline to get to your goals. The toughest thing is doing it day in and day out. If your looking for something look for the Dolce Diet book.

Lemon diet. It worked for me in 2 weeks, lost 20 pounds. Check out lemonparty.org for details and daily plan. Seriously, you'll lose the weight!

kidding me the lemon diet? I can't count the countless times I've heard people try this and fail...you are cutting off good nutrients to your body with that. Also for many people they start to crumble after they are down with that cycle. and hell nah not clicking that

Well, if you don't already eat breakfast in the morning, I suggest you start with that. Eating in the morning helps improve your metabolism for the rest of the day.
Also the way you cook food can make a big difference, if you normally fry food I recommend switching to baking it or boiling it. And eat medium portions, weight gain is caused by over-nutrition. But remember to keep your diet balanced, cutting off fat completely (or anything else) could be detrimental for you; I remember this girl I knew who was a purest eater, couldn't eat fats - thin to the bone, very weak, had to take medication and supplements as a result.

Couple this with regular exercise, either daily or every few days for 20-30mins minimum, and you should start to lose weight. I can't stress how important it is to keep a balanced diet, if you start one of the odd diet schemes that require you to cut something out (such as the Atkins diet), you will just end up gaining more weight than you lost when you stop dieting. It is better to build up your metabolism slowly than lose weight excessively.

Had to find this out for my boyfriend recently, he got a bit chubby from depression :p But he has more focus on exercise than anything else. Lost 12 pounds so far, and taking into consideration that muscle ways much more than fat, I'd say that it's pretty good.

Whoa dudes, haven't any of you heard of Terri Schiavo? Throwing up is not the way to go. All you'll end up doing is fucking your body up. Weightloss isn't easy, and there is no easy way about it. The best thing to do is restrict your intake, don't eat ANY crap, walk around the block a few times. And drink lots of water. You'll never see immediate results Just keep on going and you will :)

What does Terri Schiavo have to do with purging?

Wow. I am either old, or people never read the newspaper, listen to the radio, watch the news, read any ticker on the television, or pay attention to any current events... I fear I'm old. And the latter. Both. We're all doomed.
