I get that some people might find emotional closure with OBL's death, but I don't see it as the mass riotous cause for celebration that's been demonstrated across the US. Celebrating the death of a human being, however sick and twisted and horrible he was, feels wrong to me. Justice hasn't been served unless you paint the entire effort as a mission of vengeance. I appreciate what the troops have done to protect the US, but this even doesn't bring any concrete closure to the conflicts and it sure as hell doesn't come close to justifying the mounds of money and lives we've wasted on it.

I'm glad that America is glad, I'm glad we'll re-elect a president who didn't do anything but launch 200 missles at Libya while we aren't at war, pointlessly tried to close Guantanamo, and gave me health care for another couple years.... Or until I get some work that isn't under the table and doesn't provide healthcare... Which is basically everywhere.

But do we really have to be so glad about the death of another human being? Extremists, extremists everywhere...

Well, i guess he was a focal head piece that could be replaced. But if he was a source of more than a few of their tactics and strategies, we have at least some measure of calm for now.

I think i read somewhere that since he was in hiding he was more of a figure head and really didnt have the time to participate in making tactics and strategies.
