Whoever owns this house is well prepared in the event of a zombie apocalypse
http://all-that-is-i...bie-proof-house

Its got a draw bridge, as well concrete slabs that as you can see in the image below cover the windows and doors. The glass door on the bottom can be covered too so that is not a point of weakness.

What i don't know is if this house has a water sanitizing device however

Those rules are actually pretty decent. Other than people flocking to schools and instead of no cars go for an SUV. Gas isn't a problem, just learn to siphon gas (practice now and save money on rising gas prices! and yes that is a joke) Traveling in small packs is good for clearing buildings but overall there is safety in numbers. But as for Rule 10, zombie rights? A better Rule would be once your bitten you're as good as dead. Sentimental bonds will only destroy the group.

The problem with flocking to schools, malls, etc is that everyone else would have the same idea and you would end up being crowded in with people who may potentially be infected.

And yea the "good as dead" rule has been shown time and time again as being the best course of action in all the zombie movies i have ever watched, it also makes sense logically, because if you keep a guy around until he turns its gona prove a danger to yourself and the group.

A vehicle is good but only so long as you keep off the main roads otherwise you may soon find that you are stuck in traffic and at the mercy of zombies that are swarming around everywhere with nowhere to go.

I can only see schools being flocked to if they set up temporary emergency facilities for the initial wave of the infect for when hospitals are over crowded, but hospitals, police stations, maybe even fire stations will all become hot spots. Yes I say fire stations because a few around here have ambulances.

Malls I can see as being a bad spot despite the fun that could be had. Me personally, If my plan fails I'm going to a home improvement store and living on the roof of it.

Highways though I only see as crowded with abandoned cars. Maybe a few stragglers that are trapped in cars or pinned under one or just wondering around. But if they follow their food and a traffic jam occurs, people will ditch their vehicles to run for it.

In a zombie apocalypse you don't have to run fast, you just can't be the slowest.

Break the posts off my bed for use as bludgeons. Grab a blanket, two pair of pants, two shirts, as many undies as can fit into my backpack, and then get mobile (my car has two seats and the rest is trunk. fuck everybody else, I'm gone). Don't stop moving, except to resupply food and water or to grab a new weapon. No guns, only bludgeons, bows, and crossbows. Nothing that will jam in a way I can't repair and nothing that requires ammunition I can't make more of out of stuff I find (I can always make more arrows). There is no destination, only getting away from populated areas and finding somewhere high up. They'll eventually find me but it'll damn well take a while.

to be honest a school in the United States would be a perfect place to bunker down in. Many schools are essentially build like prisons with metal fences, and walls surrounding the entire perimeter. Not only this but schools have a supply of food and water that would eventually become an important commodity.

Malls on the other hand would also attract a lot of people too making them a bad place to begin with but they are honestly too easy to breach, with the glass doors and open spaces.

Despite the fact that many of the ideas were pretty good (basic stuff but good) the woman in videos would already be dead according to the video i posted regardless of the fact that she claims to do all this stuff in preparation for the zombie apocalypse cause some zombie would just reach out, grab her hair, and then reel her in. We actually see this sort of thing in a lot of zombie movies as well.

In the first video she mentions machetes being > than katanas but thats only true indoors, in any other place the katana is superior to the machete if only because it give you more reach, and provides enough power to do a perfect decapitation.

well everyone else would probably have the same idea as you, how would you keep the rest of your neighbors along with infected and zombies out? Grocery stores usually have large sliding glass doors that are easy to breakdown

well not all zombie apocalypses end in the complete annihilation of humanity, would it not be "fun, interesting, entertaining?" to stick around to see if you can survive long enough for the event to come to a conclusion.

I mean yea it would be "good, well in the opinion of some" if this didn't happen. but its just a scenario based upon the question of If

I think any house would crash down in a significant earthquake. But this house would at least protect you from zombies.

Suicide is a good option if you were trapped, but otherwise i would personally try and see how long i could survive.

Board it up and kill everyone else. Also, this grocery store is on a military base, so the entrance already has a barrier and it's like a damn maze.

military bases are one of the best places to go to survive a zombie apocalypse, you've got guns, food, supplies, etc if you can get into one i think you are set...

Actually they're one of the worst. YOU don't have guns, whoever's there first has guns. The people who are there first control the gun, food and commodity situation, and you will be far from the only one who has that idea.

still if they let you in at least you will receive protection and shelter. I mean even if thats a BIG if, oreo said the grocery store which is situated in a military base is right behind their house, if this apocalypse does break out, im sure oreo would be one of the first people there and have a highish chance of getting in. I mean its a better idea than to go to an ordinary shopping mall or a grocery store both of which are completely indefensible.

I'd love to just block the entrance to the courtyard at my friends' apartment, but we'd also have to block off the entrance to the parking lot in the back. I think smashing the stairs and being out of reach is the way to go... Although I'm not sure how in love I am with living on a 2nd story during the apocalypse, but at least its an original idea. And as long as we don't end up with a sea of zombies, we might be able to make it out... Burbank has a low population, and I'd love the chance to decapitate Zombie Jay Leno.

Like I said in my zombie plan, I intend on occupying a school and using that as a center of expansion for the new township that would be built. But for an initial shelter I don't see it doing that well. Zombie Apocalypse, I doubt that the electricity and the water would continue to run; not because machines stop at plants but just because of human error like someone running into a power line or a squirrel chewing through one (I've seen both happen before).

My plan is based off that, that when the proverbial shit hits the fan that all major sources of power will go out, water will stop running, and I'll be back to using candle light.

power and water going out should be a given during a zombie apocalypse, unless you are holed up in some kinda self sufficient military base, and even then problems might happen. Im not so certain that any power source would run forever though, unless wherever you are holed up runs on solar power and not a lot of places have those. Most likely places where you would find shelter at run on some kinda fossil fuel generator and as soon as you are out of fuel then its over, powerwise anyway.

The first thing id do though is to make sure that once my area is secure, i could have some way to purify water without electricity, as well as to be able to grow my own food. Given enough time i think both could possibly be done at a school, but you would have to have done some preparation before hand, to have access to the tools to make this possible.

Cause once the zombies come, your probably not gona be able to shop at your nearest home depot without running into problems, if not bitten outright while wandering through the store and lugging heavy objects around.

How would you survive in a hole anywhere without supplies, id think it would be easier to simply wear a metal hat to protect your brain..while staying on the move, even if the zombies catch up to you, your brain would be safe in its metal insulated brain box.
