I figure my odds of snagging one of these gems is still higher than my gettting 100m without getting frozen first though

trust me, even if you had enough np to bid, you would have a better chance of winning the lottery.
Well, they had a moehog skull up just now and i was yhe second last to place in my bid. Lo and behold, the person after me outbid me by 10NP. That BITCH...

somehow I am sad to learn that TNT made several FA during my sleep
(I am an Asian btw, that's about 2~5am in the morning when TNT released those items)
and I am rather frustrated that TNT only celebrate the event with auction snipers. Those who actually contribute to the page views are never truly rewarded.
^ nice saying!
lol, that person is a joke.
Auction snipers probably do get them most of their views, because people using them are probably cheaters in some way shape or form...and cheaters probably count to a significant amount of page views.
Customizing is new...that didn't get them all their page views.
people who have less than 2mil are probably not too interested in neo since they don't have too much to work with...only thing they have is a lot of people in that "poor-ish" category xD
I really enjoy how TnT has stated that they're doing this to try and lower the inflation for high end items.. Yet the only people I see getting these are shells. :|
If a shell wins...and the item is iced, they are reauctioning things.

Well, not every shell will be caught, and those items will be squirrelled away, damn those auction snipers
