Is there a neoquest I / neoquest II autoplayer in development?

I'd love to use that :D

Would be very helpful if one was completed. xD Or start from scratch and stop at 96%.

A NQ1 or NQ2 Auto-Player would be so very useful. o:
The game itself takes such a long time to play manually.

it doesn't take that long if you don't have to manually do the battles tbh.
in the attachment you'll find a script suitable for greasemonkey/scriptish that'll do all the battles for you in neoquest II and optionally just move around to keep training :)

Wish I knew there was GM scripts to help complete NQ. Might use them for silver and gold trophies.

problem with a complete autoplayer would be that you have to keep track of your position, have to know wheter to go next, etc. which is a whole lot of data you have to capture in advance and is just... "meh"
actually creating the autoplayer isn't a biggie - capturing all of that stupid data is, tho xD

It helps to do it all in [relatively] one go. Level grinding is such a pain, though.

I am so tempted to try programming this, seems like it would be a good learning experience, would take me a while though as I don't know python.
Anyone have an idea of how long it takes to pick up python assuming you already have a good foundation with c,c# and Java?

Python is pretty easy to learn but it's also very different to any of those languages you mention.

Yeah I've seen some things about it like its whitespace actually counts as part of the programming which I guess is pretty cool.
What language would you most liken it too?

Maybe Perl and Ruby would be described as most closely related.

It is generally quite simple though because it's designed to be readable.

I know there's a NQII autoplayer for premium users of another site...
So, was just wondering, If we had one, would it be premium only too? :)
