Better come over to Verizon before the 7th. Data will no longer be unlimited at 29.99/month. It will now be $10 for 75MB, $30/2GB, $50/5GB, and $80/10GB. Additional data charges will occur at $10/GB of overage.

If you want to get grandfathered in to unlimited data; Now is the time to come over to Verizon. (But expect to pay a ridiculous ass amount for your bill either way. :p)

I have a prepaid plan with a Samsung Galaxy Prevail phone, running on the Boost Mobile branch of the Sprint network, I pay 50$ a month for unlimited Talk, Text, and Data. No limits. :p Contracts are way overpriced.

(oh, and free unlimited wireless tethering ;) )

What by just giving someone unlimited data for no extra charge? (It's how I interpreted your reply)

Also what statement was it that you did not understand? I re-read my sentence and it makes perfect sense..

It's 30.00 for unlimited data. You'd still be paying for it.

I agree. You actually do not need a unlimited data plan unless you're tethering (of which is an additional cost on some service providers here in the UK anyway).

AT&T gave out the statistics that less than 98% of our company use more than 2 gigs of data a month. Looking at all my customers I would say that is a pretty reasonable number.

I typically use between 1 - 5 gigs a month with the later being on rare occasions. I watch movies, stream music and play with my phone for a good portion of the day though. Especially when I don't have a computer around.

    I agree with Waser :p

I have a shitty phone and my plan is only around $20 a month and I'm very happy with it :p

Maybe it's because I'm not a socialite or that I'm just old-fashioned, but who needs more than 1000 texts a month?? CALL ME if you want to talk to me, dumbass.

How is going to a tiered structure abusing consumers? Most customers use a tiered minute plan. Should they just remove the lower minute plan and make everyone get unlimited?

I don't know about 10 GB, but I know quite a few people who use their phones as opposed to lugging around a laptop everywhere as it's a pain in the ass going through airport security. They essentially use it for just about anything including large images or video.

I'm not entirely sure if they're the minority or not. An Android phone is the new Blackberry for the government due to security issues, at least in Washington State where my mother works.

Just because you don't need it, does not mean that -everyone- else should be denied the right to have it?

And some people use more then you. Some people use 25 gigabytes a month, some people use even more then that. Why should people who need a unlimited plan, lose that right to have that plan, without a justifiable cause?

How is going to a tiered structure abusing consumers? Most customers use a tiered minute plan. Should they just remove the lower minute plan and make everyone get unlimited?

And did they remove unlimited minutes? No. Its still there, for the people who might need/want it. This isn't just about the mobile network. Verizon did the same shit to their dsl connection. Since when is internet access ever supposed to be limited? Since the beginning of the internet, it has always be unlimited access. No one ever set up a plan that said, "You can only have this much per month, and if you want to use more, it will cost you billions" and then on day, someone was like, "Guys, if we limit their data, we can make billions" and thus they started limiting internet.

They do not have a justifiable cause to limit it. It costs the same exact cost to them to give me a million gigabytes of data, as it does to give me 1 gigabyte. They wish to abuse consumers and force them to pay more if they use the internet too much.

I didn't say that you did, just that it shouldn't be removed just because some people will not use it.
