Since there is a regular movie night, it was requested to make a new movie night for anime. The "I'd rather see a regular movie" excuse not work either, because there's a separate night for that as well. Please do not post saying you don't like anime. That will be considered spam.

Post your nomination for an anime movie that you'd want to see. If there's enough people saying yes, then I will stream a movie.

Use this list: http://anidb.net/per...update&airing=2

I can download any movie, so it doesn't matter what one you post.

It will be english subtitled with Japanese language; I am non-negotiable on that. Sorry

P.S You don't have to watch it every Sunday :p

I may actually enjoy this. An anime movie recommendation would be Arriety. It's the newest Hayao Miyazaki (maker of Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and much more) movie and I don't think all his fans has watched it yet.

Quick Question before I vote: When you post the times, do you use the forum standard time or Neopets standard time?

I don't really watch anime, but I did watch Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle and I have to say those are for everyone. They're really really great.
A friend of mine loves Princess Mononoke, though I guess most of you have already watched it sooo...Well, I'm in for watching any movie made by the guys who made those. Maybe Arriety as Keil said, though I know nothing about it.

Any movie that will be chosen will be watchable by anyone, it's just that some people love to discriminate against anime. Don't worry about it :p Top rated anime movies are good for a reason :p (I'm referring to anidb list)

Hmm, I don't normally watch anime movies, just series and I've seen a ton of those. No real suggestions except something along the lines of fantasy/magic or so. But I'd definitely be interested in this.

Same, but I do occasionally watch movies as well.
Just think of it combining 6 episodes into one (Doesn't that sound familiar? :p)

Miyazaki had a role in Arriety but he didn't direct or produce it.

Personally, I thought Arriety was very meh, but I would give it a shot.

Hehe, I have to be careful when watching anime or I lose track of a day or two and the only reason I stop is because the pain in my stomach is becoming too unbearable. Its a wonder I haven't started speaking japanease yet :p

Sorry about that. I assumed he did because of no one corrected this guy at an anime forum. It said it was made by Studio Ghibli and I hastily put two and two together. After further much research it said Miyazaki supervised the production as the program planner. Thanks for the correction Posted Image

It doesn't matter, if it's rated good, we will watch it, otherwise... you will really have to convince me.

Ignoring the usual suspects like Ghibli/Haruhi/Eva/etc that everyone knows...... movies that I like:-

- Anything by Shinkai, i.e. Voices of a Distant Star, 5cm/second, etc. Will cause manly tears.
- Anything by Satoshi Kon (rest in peace!), i.e. Paprika, Perfect Blue, etc. I especially enjoyed Paprika, it was weird enough to be interesting but not so messed up to completely throw me. Kon's works are good, but sometimes, I just don't like them (my hate for Paranoia Agent as an example...)
- Summer Wars, it's really enjoyable. Kind of basically the same as an old Digimon movie though :p
- Ghost in the Shell, probably one of the ones most people know but it's worth pointing out because it's so good :)
- Black Rock Shooter.... okay I like Vocaloid, and it's pretty!
- Mind Game, but only if everyone watching is drunk/stoned/on acid, because that's the only way anyone will make sense of it. Other Studio 4C shows are apparently worth a watch, but it's not my cup of tea.
- Revolutionary Girl Utena, because lesbian car sex. And I mean literally, lesbian cars having sex. Or something like that. Another drunk/stoned/on acid movie, although it's pretty fun besides the "wtf?".
- Shakugan no Shana movie, lolicon alert~

More than half of those movie's aren't in english yet....then again I don't know many anime movies that are other than Miyazaki's works :(

Can we just go for the classic Spirited Away?

Wait. I read that wrong. I thought you wanted English dub toxic XD

Anyways. I recommend Welcome To The Space Show. It was beautifully drawn and I loved the plot line. I've seen it like three times already :p

What do you mean you didn't like Paranoia Agent, Lil Slugger was the bomb and who couldve gone without the stripper/escort with multiple personalities. :p

Dunno. It's just one of those shows that by all accounts I should've liked... but I didn't. I thought it was boring and uninspired. Although I did like the episode with the three people who were going to suicide.... that was really well done.

Sword of the Stranger
Grave of the Fireflies
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
The Borrower Arrietty (I'd love to watch it!)
Princess Mononoke
Tales of the Earthsea

Isn't there a Gurren Lagann film or two?
And I'll probably watch just about anything you throw out there. I like being exposed to new anime films. ^^
