This is sad. Although I don't know the story of her life, I'm sure she didn't ask to be unhappy.
Don't judge, guys... addictive drugs really transform and change even the best of people.

All the crack she has been snorting for god knows how long finally finished her off. Twas about time!

one doesn't snort crack, they smoke it. crack is the rock form of cocaine, cocaine is the substance one snorts.

p.s. - do you main annie?

Your point? I never denied that she made music.

Everyone blows money when they get it like that. Is it her fault that the glamour of drugs, sex and music pulled her in so tightly? She isn't the same as junkies blowing and robbing for money. She probably got medical grade. She lives in the UK, she can get fucking diamorphine from any doctor.

I think Valerie was a cover song.

    Do they?

Maybe not british royals, but Saudi royals, and their cousins in the gulf. And I'm sure the remaining European royals have their share of black sheep.

    Its too bad she died.

Probably better than spiraling in and out of depression, constantly battling against drugs and alcohol, faced with health issues and all that. Then her music goes down (if its possible) and she ends up a homeless druggie

Comparing a parking ticket -no criminal offence-, to an indictable offence is silly.

Come now, are you trying to make me do work? Because I'll do it if you insist.

I distinctly remember a news story about a Bahraini or UAE oil sheik who ran over someone in the US with his car, and then fled the country under diplomatic status to avoid prosecution. And the sheer amount of rape and sexual assault cases... you can't be seriously comparing them to parking tickets.

But i think without the drugs she wouldn't have a successful career like she had... Drugs expend your ideas and i know what iam talking about ;)

Nothing heard in the uk. This is about a drug addict who was too busy sticking needles in her arm to concentrate on family and friends.

    They're illegal for a reason.

Drug addicts make my life harder on a daily basis as well. But for me it's just disgusting and tragic. Like seeing someone who's had too much plastic surgery. I just shake my head and look away dramatically.

In the case of the royal families of places like Saudi Arabia the problem is that those families are in control of the country too, there's no separation of powers. In Britain, our royal family members don't get diplomatic immunity unless they're travelling with The Queen and hence on official diplomatic business so if they were to break the law in another country they'd be held responsible for it.

Even with diplomatic immunity it's possible for the home country of the person involved to waive their immunity if they commit a serious crime. Failure to be willing to do that (or prosecute the individual themselves) suggests a problem/corruption with the government of the home country involved rather than just the individual. Of course there is always a different option, you could just send Mel Gibson to deal with them.

That was sad when I heard she died...apparently nothing conclusive about her death I heard. Another talented musician who has died way early. Hope her family is doing well with this
