You can't trick someone into buying something, if someone is that stupid that they will buy over priced items then they deserve to be taken advantage of and exploited... that's how it is in the real world, better get used to it now
what if they are just kids who dont know the price
do they still deserve to be exploited???
if you still think so. please dont ever have kids

If they have enough neopoints to bid 3m on a royal paint brush then they must know something about neopets and how it works, since most kids see 100k as something big.
If you do get exploited and realize it you will at least learn from this experience and not get into that kind of situation again, what better way to learn this then on a free site?
Just watch those shows about a pawn shop that trick desperate people and make big profits, this isn't wrong in my opinion, if you're going to sell something 100+ years old and don't even bother researching it... then by all means just give it away for 200$

Well if they're going to get exploited, might as well have them learn a good strong lesson now, on a virtual pet site, to better prepare them for the real world.
It may not be right for people to exploit the naive, but that's just how it is.
I was fooled by these tricks when I was younger and I took it as a good learning experience. Let's just hope those that fall for these tricks do the same.

There's nothing wrong with this, Christmas paint brushes are worth 50k, check the SW, I even sold one of these today for 45k in my shop.
Pirate pbs are around that price... I hope you know that Meghaundead bidded 2.9m on that and not 4.35 ... logically he won that bid since no one will outbid him.
Pirate Krawk Plushies used to be worth 600-800k before the release of the AM, that lowered the price drastically, so Snagged might just have checked an outdated Database, so he's not tricking anyone... that lot will end without bids.

I hate it when you say that something is reserved for someone, and they offer hoping that you will make a mistake and give it to them.
For the soup kitchen avatar, i went around offering 800k to trades I knew weren't going to accept my offer, trying to lower my total np.
Actually ended up getting a royal paintbrush for my 800k. I guess somebody mis-pressed.
No ill-intentions though.

That way I don't "over" or "under" price items, it's all up to the members of neo itself.
I normally put the starting price at 200 and minimum bid at 200. Works every time =D
If the item is truly a 'junk' item (like the crap you can get from the underwater fishing), I normally put that up in the money tree

I know last year at my University, one of the Freshman bought 800lbs of copper at Home Depot when they accidentally priced the copper items at less than the junk (recycle) value. He ended up making a few thousand off the deal.
