New item you ABed and is still relatively new? No prices on the Trading Post?
I'll show you how I get my prices for new items like that.I will do an example with the Swabbie Plushie

Steps:

1. Go to http://items.jellyne...php?go=advanced

2. Set these values as so:
Category: (w/e shop you got the item from)
Sort By: Release - Descending
Number per Page: 75
Leave everything else alone

For this example, I will choose "Plushies" as that is the category my item is.

3. Now look for items that were released recently and have a rarity near the item you have.
The Swabbie plushie is R94.
I looked at the Snot Quiggle Plushie and the Chocolate Draik Plushie because they're both relatively new and near R94 and have prices on the trading post.
They're both around 600k, but because the swabbie plushie is extremely new, I would list it as 1mil and accept anything higher than 750k.
Remember that for HTS items like plushies, the listing price is rarely used, only noobs/collectors buy at the price. So never list something as what you want but a little above it.
Well, in reality, I dont really care about NPs so I would just try to quicksell it for 500k.

Scot's Guide: No price on TP?

800k

My guide: If no price on TP and r97-99 1.5m-5m
Anything lower than that and it gets a random price.

r97 rarley over a 1m.
r98 Depends if a MP or plushie. Plushies rarely over a million, MPs often over a mill
r99 Usually always over a million no matter what.

I would just go with 1 mil for anything new that isn't ultra special(along the lines of a MP)
