I do try to hide it from other people though... cause I get the impression people get freaked out if an adult plays a child's internet game

That's what I did when I had a significant other. He'd be playing Halo, and I'd be on his laptop playing on Neopets.

He's actually cheer me on when I was trying to get an avatar/participating in a plot/etc

I don't think it's such a big deal that people play NP. I mean, look at all the other games people are addicted to. It's perfectly fine to have some guilty pleasures :>
I told my bf that I still played Neo and he was like "lolwat. I have never played it so I'mma make an account right now and beg your for money. Forever." Of course he was joking be the fact is, he was still accepting.
Granted though, he and my my stoner friends are the only ones I'll ever tell that to LOL. It's not a big deal, but it's still embarrassing, to me at least.

Hahahah, this is the best thread ever. I'm totally a closet Neopets player and I used to be a closet WoW player. I would never hear the end of it from my friends, they ripped me apart when I started playing d2/PSO. I just see myself as a closet nerd. No one will ever know I started playing NP again, not even my GF, hope she doesn't get jelly and check my history like the last one

P.S.- Stoned neopets is the way to go.
