Do audiobooks count as reading? I'd assume yes. I used to read a ton in the past but now I find I fall asleep whenever I read, so I find it easier to listen to an audiobook and do something else at the same time (like exercise). But reading itself only goes so far. At some point you have to actually think about and question what you're reading about, or all you end up is a pile of facts which doesn't exactly make you more intelligent.
For me, I used to like reading but I've grown to dislike it, but that's probably because of the piles of dense reading that I have to do for all my classes. If I had more free time for just light, entertaining reading of my own preference, it would probably be more enjoyable.
