You have to post the text/log here as well so that the programmers/ other experienced users can read the not-so-layman details and help you with your problem.

Oh my gosh I used to have one of those, it was great

Are you using a proxy? If so, change it. When it doesn't work for me (unknown errors when buying or something like your describing) chaining my Proxy gets it to work again.
