I've only skipped a period once in my life. Never been late. If anything it likes to show up early. Such bullshit.

Yes. I skip mine quite frequently because of stress.

    Doesn't feel like it...

I don't I've ever not gotten my period, but it does seem to fluctuate between coming early or late.

I wasn't too thrilled about the surprise cramps that accompanied my early period this month. I also happened to be under a lot of stress.

There were a few stories of men holding the door open for ladies in the testosterone thread, and I just wanted to say that I'm more annoyed than appreciative when the door is held open for me. This is due to the fact that typically when a man holds the door open for me, they do so in a manner where they're standing in the actual doorway... BLOCKING my path with their smelly oversized male body. (I live in Texas) Their arm is extended, holding the door, letting me pass first, but they seem to strain under the weight of the door, so it's like they're not even holding it open all the way.

No. I do not want to be near you, strange man. Not even for an instant.

The proper way to hold a door open for someone else, is to EXIT the fucking door and hold it from the outside. But in my experience, men rarely do things properly.

Do not hold the door open for me. Stay out of my way.

OK, when I was young and beautiful, I used to have glorious 4 day long periods. I was one of those stereotypical, happy-go-lucky womyn you see in the pad commercials. No cramps, they breezed by me, and I went on with my life. I had TSS once, but I survived and it was a fantastic nap so totally worth it.

    and then I had babies.

Now, I have these monster cramps like someone is digging out my ovaries with grapefruit spoons and I feel like one of those volcanoes you see at the science fair with the vinegar and baking soda only upside down, ofc. Also, I have no idea how long these things last in real time, but in NST it lasts like a year or so.

I feel like this a year out of every month.

Oh my goodness, I know that feel. It was the exact same for me before and after babies.
I've got numerous friends who say it was the exact opposite for them.

When my periods were all fluffy and happy I always thought other girls were just wusses.

What this thread has reminded me is that I am not much suited for girly conversations and that I'm glad none of my friends have ever tried to hold a conversation about their periods with me.

Ah. Well, good for you then. I do feel strange if I skip a single period.. though I'd rather that than the alternative.  :(

You and me both kiddo. I'm so bad at being a girl sometimes.

I'd be so paranoid. How could you tell the difference b/w a missed period due to pregnancy vs the depo?!

Can I talk about my girl problems without anyone jumping in and saying how much they don't want to talk about it?

Well the point of Birth Control is to stop you from getting pregnant when you do have unprotected sex (albeit the chances are still there just less likely). I suffer from extremely sickening cramps so I was put on BC when I was younger to help regulate and when I got older and sexually active I opted to get a shot every 3 months and not get a period at all.

I guess it's a personal choice and not having a period didn't bother me.

2 in 7 years. ^_^ *super smug* I mean, sure, it's because I keep my body in a state of such high anxiety that it basically shuts down, but totally worth it.

I ripped my little nail earlier, really low down at the point where it aaaalmost starts bleeding. Still quite painful. The damn things grow quite well, stay quite strong, then just rip. :(
