I see! How do you AB at multiple shops? Do you do it like one hour at one shop and rotate? Or is it one shop for one day, one shop the next, etc.? Thanks for the input.

Well, I have advanced, so I can select which shops to AB at, but it would definitely work if you were to use a manual list and just pick a different shop every 45 minutes or so.

    :(

Well I've been ABing at the Chocolate Factory for a while and it doesn't seem to be restocking anything of profit. # of items seems to be constantly at ~20 and occasionally jumps to 23. Do you think it has something to do with rarity?

If you check this page: http://www.neopetshi...estrictions.htm you should be able to check based on your account age the rarities you can find. Then, check the IDB for the shops you want to AB at with the rarities you can buy to see which shops you should use.

You mean this site's IDB? It isn't the best at having rarities updated... or actually having much of the logging updated. I'd love to clean it up but I don't quite know how.

I'm currently level 15 in the habitarium after two days, but it seems so incredibly slow to level up! I know it might be worth it later on, but at this rate it'll take the rest of the month...

What do you mean? I have a piece I found from anchor management but I thought that all map pieces are pretty expensive.

When I was doing Habitarium on my old account, it go as far as level 50. From there you were allowed to collect purple gems. I was raking in the NPs. I speeded the process up by "discarding" eggs, rather than hatching them. 200 NPs for discarding, and only 30 if you hatch. :)

What did you do with your workers though? I honestly don't even know what to do in this game except let them collect random resources. Should I leave the nesters on the nest and just have them produce eggs and afterwards just discard them all?

Regarding the best time of the day to restock, our Neotracker stats for the purchases our users have made show this:

So that suggests the main times are 5-10pm NST on a Friday. ;)

Looking at this picture reminds me that my AB'er hasn't gone in pharmacy once. I'm nonadvanced so I can't choose where it goes :p

The shop selection is weighted to pick the shops with the most profitable items more often, I'm not sure where pharmacy comes on the list though. :p

I'm on a 10+ day old account now and it goes to DM sometimes and I just stare at it and go, "really? Really?" exit it, and start it back up for a different shop :p.

That use to happen to me xD but you actually have to wait because sometimes you reload before you even see the item and it also depends the age of your account if you want to see more items.

I've tried score sending but that only nets me 200k/day

    ^ now theres your problem.
if you doing it with sensible times it should only be around 70k to 90k. score sending is WAY better than abing on a new account. if you want to AB, score send first, then trade the nps for a 3yr old account so u can both aaa and main shop ab. or just buy it with Other

Yeah I dropped it down to about ~100k/day. So far so good? But anyways, my shop supposedly has an est. profit of around 100k right now.

its not about the amount of np made, its more of how legit your timings are. for me at the start of each month i play every good ratio game manual myself with a stopwatch, then make the list. takes close to 10 hours or so, but its worth it considering that i score send on over 10 over accounts

Some good tips here, just getting back into it all after a few years out, ABing huh! Seems like a good idea, and forgotten shores map, how long does it last? I have it and visited it once.

Okay thanks! I just thought having only 6 items bought is pretty low considering shops restock every 8-10 minutes. I only have around ~50k from SSing, so it'll suck a lot if I run out of capital before someone buys stuff.

The shops actually don't stock every 8-10 minutes-- it's random, and they restock at a volume that's dependent on how many items are already in the shop. Each shop can only hold 24 different items, so if they're already full, no new items will come in. Depending on the shop, it might be constantly at 24 items (17 is like this a lot), or the common items might be profitable enough that it slowly clears out (1, books). Richer ABers might also clear out the 1- or 2-count unprofitable items to free up space for new items to appear.

It sounds like being patient at pharmacy/igloo is your best bet as a new account, plus sane SSing.

I also recommend the habitarium: at level 50 it's possible to get >150k a day by letting it run all day. The quickest way to level up is to have mostly workers and trap them close to the resource gathering areas so they don't waste time doing the carrying resources animation. Only collect wood, mud and stone; use it to upgrade all your buildings. Spend excess resources by building nests, fully upgrading them and then deleting them. Have a few nesters producing eggs so you can replace dead PPPs, and enough to rebuild if you have to leave it for a while (all the PPPs will die after a week). You also need about 3-4 soldiers to defend and repair.

Habi is risky though since it's prone to a number of game-breaking glitches that may make it impossible to play (!!!) and fixing it often means resetting your habitarium to level 1. This happened to me a couple months ago and I quit in disgust and leapt full-force into ABing. SEE NEOPETS!!? YOUR SHITTY CODING DROVE ME TO CHEATING.

    Great read, thank you!

I've been split half and half right now. I'm SSing 100k/day while ABing only an hour or two because I've realized that without being advanced AND having an account less than 3 months, it's pretty pointless ABing.

My habi is at level 25 after 4 days so far and when you say all the PPPs die after a week, do you mean ALL of them or only the ones who are 7 days old?

Your P3s die at exactly 7 days old, so at first, you'll see staggered deaths as you hatch P3s to keep up with your levelling. What I usually do is organize a death day (or hatching day if you're the glass half-full type): Just let the entire Habi die out except one nester, and then rehatch all the P3s at the same time. That way, they'll die at the same time every 7 days. Keep at least one nester around because otherwise, the doctor will randomly hatch a nester for you, and if you're fussy about species, you might not like it. I keep an all-mootix Habi, so I have my deaths staggered so that 44 of them die on the same day at the end of my week cycle, and a single nester dies sometime in the middle of the week.
