A small figure leans against the wall, eyes flitting around the room, watching people mill about and chat. She works up the nerve to stand and stroll (casually, she hoped) to a small knot of friendly-looking people. "Hi...I'm Tessa. I'm new here, and, um...I'd really like to get to know you guys." They smiled and greeted her, and she thanked them, the entire exchange lasting only a minute. Then she stood around awkwardly, at a loss for anything more to say. The group resumed their conversation, while the girl slowly, inconspicuously, melted back into the shadows.

Random clicks on the thread. He smiles and greets the new member, only to resume his studying. The entire exchange lasting only a minute.

punkrockbigmouth smiles widely and waves retardedly at the new kid. The smile fades, as the conversation resumes.

"Yes, so we all agree." punk says in a very serious tone. "Balls are awesome and comforting."

Satsuki smiles kindly at the new member and welcomes them to the group. Pointing to the others who happen to be in a conversation about how balls are awesome and comforting she says, "We're all mad here. Some of us are just a bit madder than others. Welcome to Wonderland...I mean Codex." She then returns to her Pokemon game, and procedes to scream loudly at it.

Tessa smiles shyly. "Hi Random, punkrockbigmouth, Satsuki." She gives them a small bow, hoping they won't disappear before she straightens. A spark of hope is evident in her eyes - could social interaction be not so impossible after all?

Struggling to keep a straight face, she murmurs "Balls are indeed wonderful creations. Such a general term, yet it encompasses such a large variety of types - large, small, hard, soft, white, brown, black..." Her eyes glazed over, and it seems that she is somewhat mad. But that's alright, because she is completely harmless.

At the sound of the word "pokemon", her head snaps up. "Ahh, the game of my childhood. What, may I ask, elicited that scream? In any case, I hear screaming is an effective way of encouraging your pokemon, so please, I do encourage you to continue."

Napiform does not have the energy for this. ''You'll get along great with violetsun, but..." she moans and then dies, choking on the last clause of her sentence.
