This all just seems like a huge popularity contest tbh. 

In my heart of hearts, I know I'm the most attractive male. I'd win most humble as well, if there were an award for that.

I appreciate the fact that you're not speaking on behalf of the admins, and that their take on the situation will only be known once they comment- but I know that I speak for more members beyond myself in saying that having a mods participate in childless ego driven antics DOES reflect badly on the rest of the staffing team, and the site itself.
 
A mod, as you said, ought to enforce the rules, and should lead by example. If any of the mods are unable to lead by example should they be a mod? No, they shouldn't- effectively all they are then is a member with privileges waiting to be abused.

Oh the contrast. There's waser, a staff member, saying he doesn't speak for anyone other than himself, and there's you, a member, claiming that you speak for the multitude

I've had this conversation with you before, but apparently you still don't understand how things work here. Ninety nine percent of the people here at Codex are members. You receive services and retain privileges at the staff's discretion. Those things can and will be removed at the staff's discretion, should we deem it warranted. We justify our actions to the other staff members alone.

We're not here to argue with you, although some of us will happily do so; we're here to maintain some semblance of lawfulness. We're here to make sure all the idiots that find there way here don't get us shut down by posting porn, or posting "Buying in GBP" in the trading post, or stealing from others and trying to sell it on to unsuspecting members.

I disagree wholeheartedly with your assertion that you know best how a moderator should act. If you did, you would be well enough versed in the rules or even common decency to PM or email a staff member with your concerns. Occasionally staff members may err in how we go about accomplishing our tasks, or the average member may see it as such, but no one on the staff has any malicious intent. No one on the staff is making any money off of you. We're here voluntarily to maintain order. So fucking appreciate it.

Because sometimes saying things nicely doesn't get the message across. Especially when it's not the first, or even the second time it's become necessary to say it.
