It's definitely going to be similar to Neopets, because the same people are behind it. We can't really change who we are - same old weird humour and random draik egg giveaways when drunk at 2am.
I would check out their new game whenever it comes out

I believe that Adam's new mature-targeting game is real (based on pure intuition). If you must ask for reasoning it's this: If they're capable of creating Treasure Keepers years after selling Neopets, then they at least know the resources to create an entirely new game in day of age.

It seems like he's rarely touched neopets since selling it. Perhaps something mentally is blocking him from wanting to interact with it much anymore. Perhaps he still wishes he owned the site and hadn't left deep inside.

I randomly typed in Neopets to see if there was a subreddit, and there it was. So no stalking at all. I haven't even been to the Neopets website in years.

I absolutely lost my credibility on them. Was a great fan of Island Paradise and what they did with Meteor Games was nameless. Apparently they start a project and then jump into another and leave the old one unattended, I didn't play Twin Skies or Vikings, Pirates and Ninjas, but people agree that they used to be like this before. There's this website where former employees talk about a company they worked for, and almost all of them said bad things about the company, and one of them was that the managers had no clue on how to run a company. They just sacked people when they felt pissed off and stuff like that. I don't think I am playing any other game developed by a company run by them...

I played this. Because of some bizarre malfunction the team had to close the game to fix it.
They never did.

This is usually the problem with managers with either engineers or programmers. Managers are usually concerned about short term profits and meeting targets. But engineers or programmers may realise some long term problems that needs to be tackle with in order to ensure long term progress. Good companies usually can reach a consenus or compromise for these two groups.
