Hello all.

I've just left Abrosia running for 2 hours with the neopets browser open in the background.

I missed 1 item during those 2 hours, and apart from that absolutely nothing happened :( I'm only a basic member so I know I don't have access to any of the customisable settings etc, but surely I should have at least got 1 item!?

It's refreshing the shop every (roughly) 10 seconds like it should, and the items in shop number changes all the time, so I know it's working.

I'm just a bit confused about why it's only tried to purchase 1 item. I'm quite tempted to buy advanced after this, and it's not getting me anywhere!

Is advanced that much easier to make NP?

Thank you.

It just happens like that sometimes... Keep trying. You might change the time of day you do it if you're going to stay a regular member.

I might just upgrade to advanced. It's not alot of money, and it seems like it provides alot of benefits!

Don't have neopets open when you're ABing...or at least don't be logged onto the account that's ABing.

Also what was your profit margin? If you lower it you should see/get more items.

Thanks for the advice. Thought that was the case. I only refreshed the main page a couple of times. Didn't change screens at all.

It was set to 2,000 NP :)

Well, I went ahead and upgraded to advanced! Trying out the pharmacy to see what it buys. It's been going for another 30 minutes and still hasn't even attempted to buy anything.

If I want to cancel advanced at any time, how do I do it?

Thank you.

The shops don't restock like every 5 minutes my man, you have to wait and be patient. What are all your settings at?

General wait delay: 8 - 10

Haggle: 0.8 - 1

OCR: 1 - 1.4

Attic: 3 - 5

Minimum profit margin: 2,000 NP.

In fresh foods at the moment.

That seem okay?

And I've got no problem being patient, but it just seems that 3 hours should have yielded a bit more than one missed buy :p haha.

I'm a bit worried about getting iced. If I was sitting here raking it in it might be worth it, but I'm afraid I'm about to get banned for nothing.

Are you using your own list? Also, just use scot's super system settings. (if that's not already them).

Nope, not using my own list. I don't have the knowledge to create my own list yet :( are there any templates that I could *borrow*?

Also gotta make sure the shop isn't full. If the shop is full it won't restock and you won't get any buys/misses.

Since you have advanced, you can use the restock lists feature in the item database to make your own list. Chose a shop, then chose if you want Profit/name/rarity/mainshop price. Just copy the item names it comes up with into a text file and use it.

(I'm pretty sure use of the restock list feature isn't restricted to just advanced+, if it is..sorry you can't use it. If it isn't go ahead and use it).

Or you could just use the link Futurama posted for lists, instead of making your own.

If you want it to buy more, choose only the faerie quest shops (clothes, food, beauty etc.) set profit to 2k and wait. Should buy quite a lot that way, but very few high profit.

I had a bit more success with buying stuff yesterday afternoon. I upgraded to advanced, set it to a few specific shops, reduced the refresh and haggle times slightly, and reduced the profit margin to 2k.

My only concern is the pricing. Both Abrosia and the Neon AP price my items very high. They seem to be about 300np higher than the cheapest on the SSW. I realise that it probably doesn't use the SSW but I don't see why it's pricing it so high as I'm normally not even the lowest on my group on the normal shop wizard.

Does anyone know where Abrosia gets its prices from? I'm pretty happy with the buying side of the program, it's a great piece of programming. It's just the pricing that seems to be letting it down.

Thank you all.

You can change the options in NeonAP to price the items lower by X amount of NP. You should also set it to find more prices (I use 5 prices personally). If you really want, you can also use the price by group option. Although that increases the chances of getting wizard banned, it shouldn't be a problem for you if you are not pricing that many items.

They generally use the shop wizard to obtain results. It'll be cool if they used the neocodex item database but it could be potentially unreliable

...but the Codex database is only made possible by users searching for shop wizard results. Furthermore, it won't be the most current prices. I think using the shop wiz makes perfect sense.

I find it fairly accurate, as long as you don't count in unbuyables in general. Seems like a way to reduce the chances of getting shop wiz banned through
