There was a case of a couple CG'd accounts from people visiting the guild of a person giving away expensive items. He took back the items from the accounts and more as well.

Just now, there was a board on the TC asking for donations for their guild. I visited the guild and their userlookup and they were both empty, so I thought it might be the same thing. I changed my password right away and went on my side to change that password too, then tried logging back into my main and got the  "You have already tried to log in too many times. Please try again in 59 minutes." message. Was that just a glitch or...?

I've been getting the 'you've tried this password too many times error' all day... even though I know it's been over an hour since the last time I tried. I also feel like it used to count down the minutes that you had til you could log in again.

Yeah, that was the one I think. They sent people guild invites and when they clicked the link to the guild, they got CG'd.

That's happened to me before too, just not that recently, so it might've just been a glitch like that or maybe someone is trying to get in? No idea

Was your account hacked or anything? I'm hoping it's just neopets being stupid... I learned to care about my main finally.

Not yet. I got the error message twice I have 4 minutes to go, hopefully i'll get in then

Congrats on getting in yours though!! Was it just glitched?

Actually, when you got into any blank pages, you can always check the source of the page to see if there's any malicious code on it, then you would find out if it's cookie grabber. Sometimes, it's just page load error or when I enabled adblock, it blocks some of the contents so it appears blank.

I don't know if it's just a glitch but I logged out soon after getting back into my account for about an hour or two, now I tried getting on again and "Error: Sorry, you have tried too many times to guess this password within the last hour. Try again in 50 minutes." Either neo is messing up or someone is desperately trying to get into my account...

 

um k 50 minutes later

Log-in probs? Mine is doing fine, through it's been logged in all along

 

I guess the best defense is to avoid any links, and good self-awareness. Through I'm a little paranoid to the point of changing passwords after going to a customized shop

Yes you can, but it's a pain having to allow what you want to allow.

Does anyone else here get random friend requests from like 1 month accounts that look empty, beside one pet? I'm sure they are suspicious I haven't had any troubles, although I do use adblock, and the 'Login Birthday Prompt' that Neo offers on the 'Site Preferences...' so I wonder if that makes a difference...?

You can't change someone's password if you CG them.

They also can't really do anything, even if they do manage to get the cookie, if the account is pinned, right?
