I don't see myself getting hyped for Black Friday anymore. I used to be around when the PS3 was released, but now it's like meh. I don't really need any fancy things. I was even offered by my parents to get a free iPad that was the new and current thing at that time and I was like, fuck no. I have my shitty ass 6 year old laptop (internally upgraded, of course) to keep me happy. If I had to go out for black Friday, it would be just to buy new clothes at Kohl's (my heaven). Yes, practicality and self-control and no materialistic pining. My inner child who wants all the newest toys died when it got hit by an invisible car years back. If a Sam's Club/CostCo/BJ's (wholesale warehouses) have black Friday sales, I'd probably go there and buy a shit ton of food, beer, and discount movie tickets.

America is literally the only country that has Black Friday. I kind of want to have it here but I fear that I'll get killed by the crowd stampeding me to death. And then all of you would miss my wit and charm.

Yup, true. Also, I feel like sometimes it's not even the best deal of the year. If it is, well, I'm probably not gonna be quick enough to get it lol (I usually like to get my 7 hours of sleep everyday). :p

I've worked at Target during Black Friday before. They want you to work a 12 hour shift for that shit. It's stupid. The crowds are demanding and pushy...

I think Amazon might do Black Friday sales in other countries but yeah, it doesn't really exist anywhere else.

i'm a service deli manager...so i guess for me Black Friday is like the party after...

my week before thanksgiving will be hell... right now it's already close to 50 hours a week..... that friday and saturday are the slowest days of the grocery store business.. all the managers are permitted to ask for it off... it will be my first time having two days off in months.

so it's not that i need anything.. or that i absolutely have to go on a craze.. i guess for me it's the get out the fustration.. relax and act stupid portion of my holiday.

A lot of people I work with do the Black Friday thing. But I hate crowds, so if I get the day off I usually just hide at home. I worked in the cosmetics department for a long time and I hated working Black Friday. I'm going to have anxiety just thinking about it.

People, like, trample each other for Tickle Me Elmos and shit. That is so terrifying to me.

Ugh Black Friday is the worst. Waking up early and huge crowds of people? No thank you, I will be home with my Thanksgiving leftovers.

Same thing I got last year. Some body wash and a coffee maker.

Now that I think about it... WHERE THE HELL DID MY COFFEE MAKER GO!?

I just love watching the mass chaos. And the women fighting over the last pair of designer shoes they want. And then they have to call in the mall cops. It makes me happy, and gives me something to laugh evilly about. Chaos makes me giddy.

But yes, America is crazy. "Hey I want this", "So do I"...FIGHT.

I like Cyber Monday, which is usually the online stuff gets on sale. I'm a really small person so fighting and getting trampled is definetly not on my wishlist. Besides I don't really like shopping :C So I'd make me cranky.

Side q: Do you get payed Extra or just regular if you work on Black Friday?

I heard some stores this year are opening at 6am Thanksgiving Day.  ;_;  I feel so sorry for the workers who probably have to miss out on family gatherings, but also sorry in a different way for the people who are planning to wake up that early and submit to commercialization instead of being thankful for what you have. Lol    Like Keil my inner child who wants all the newest toys died when it got hit by an invisible car years back too.  (Except Kohls is my hell!)

I once worked Black Thursday in retail...  It really is crazy how when you open the doors at 6am there is a huge crowd waiting to burst in and literally run to the object they desire XD  I think I got paid time and a half.

Last year for Xmas I did all online shopping. Yeah the Cyber Monday deals are good for getting presents for people without even needing to get dressed!

Working retail I learned to always carry a disguise when walking through the store on my way to breaks and lunches.

We may be attempting jewellery shopping on Black Friday. Specifically, for rings.

After working for a single Black Friday at Kohl's I'm like nah forget dat.

I'll just wait for my online deals so I don't have to interact with people.

ill be at work 4am on thanksgiving day to make sure all the people get their catering and their holiday meals done and to run my department.

Then i go see the family usually....the problem being is the couple things we wanted are going to be offered around 5 or 6pm thanksgiving day.

it's not worth going out anymore if it's going to cost me my thanksgiving dinner...seriously.

are the monday cyber deals just as good when it comes to tvs and gaming systems and stuff?
