An Intermediate Usergroup would pose many benefits for our entire community.

 

It would more so be a goal for Advanced+ members to work toward which is something that is lacking for the jump from Advanced+ to Retired.

 

They would get a title more prestigious than that of Advanced+ which was always meant to be more of a way of regulating the system to prevent the people from spamming their way to free Advanced.

 

If they spam to try and get advanced+, why would the current members vote them into it, or even nominate them?

They wouldn't that's why the voting exists for Advanced+ to prevent spam posters.

The point remains that we don't really have anything extra we can really offer a new rank so there wouldn't really be a purpose for a new intermediate rank currently.

All you need is around 500 posts, and to have been noticed by an existing Advanced+ member.

But I see people with 200- post with adv. member+, for that reason, I don't know if you need all or one of these, or when more you have, better...

You can probably lower the post count though if you make significant contributions such as making programs or guides etc.

If you're talking about Val/GATX it's cause they both contributed largely to Codex. Val has his suite, and GATX has found/updated a lot of new AOBs for the community. Adv+ is ultimately a recognition of contribution to the community - either by keeping it alive through being active or by adding to the collective knowledge of the site. You don't need to create a program to be nominated. Honestly most people who got into Adv+ are just people who are active, helpful and friendly.
